I have a lot of land (4,519.42 m2) on the water in Bay of Ocoa, southwest DR in Azua about an hour from Santo Domingo. I was either gong to build a huge villa on it for myself or maybe sell it is big enough to handle apartments, villas, etc. and it's on the water so a nice spot to develop.

You do realize most of the people who buy these homes are Dominicans living abroad, they are buying homes in their native country as investments or homes for them and their families. The others are other foreigners who buy these also as investments since they can be managed by other companies. Yes, some people move to the DR and other places for a slower and higher quality of life. Just because someone lives in a country thats considered a first world country doesn’t mean they have a better quality of life. Stop thinking in black and white my friend.

Sometimes when I show the location through the google earth, it makes the impression it's too far from places of interest. But once you live in a touristic destination, you'll realize it's better to be in a timeframe of 15min to everywhere.
