I just question what the tack is made out of. Is there any forever chemicals in it?
This commercial sounds exactly like the Happy Fun Ball skit by SNL.

Will rain wash it away? How long after applying this product should there be before it rains?
Does the net need removed once the grass has grown? I've seen people complain of the netting getting stuck in mower blades.
wondering the same thing...I can't find info on what to do once the grass starts growing.
The netting is biodegradable. He even says that in the video you just watched above.
@@NorthernChev yes, but for how longer before it actually dissolves. I used it and it did not degrade for months. Got stuck in my mower blades. I had full lengths of grass growing and the damn net was still there with no indication it was degrading.
@@CHANNELCHECKER381 Yes, what you describe is often a problem with these nets. I've seen some of these brands stay in the ground for up to three years sometimes. I wish I had better news but this is the reality of these nets.
@@CHANNELCHECKER381As well, once your grass takes hold you can pull the nets up. Typically after four or five months. They're only there to hold the seed you put down in place while it germinates.
Is this product still made? I am planting a large wildflower garden this next weekend and this would be nice to go over the seeds I am already putting down to get some additional seed coverage as well as get the other benefits since its a full sun area.
Product only goes bout half sq ft as they claim and even then its thin after a few days watering. Better off using grass clippings but not thick and that will feed seedlings some nitrogen as it breaks down. Also, if they put tack in this stuff why not also add bird repellent, just saying.
Dumb question - Does this product contain grass seeds that causes grass to grow ? I bought this for my in-ground vegetable garden and then this question popped

Yea what happened?
This is my second year using this stuff. Last year it worked well as a mulch for no till gardening, and when I went out to my garden this spring it had broken down into the soil and the soil was wonderful: loose and rich. This worked better than the straw I got from a local farm (which became tangled and really difficult to dig through) probably because it has been chopped up. Very easy to spread. Highly recommended.

Is this safe for vegetable gardens?
It is, it is completely organic so it should be fine. Just applied it on my raised beds today.
I used it in my vegetable garden...no problems.
