Really enjoy making original music & checking out the gear in depth. More of how it sounds in the room & close mic vs over processed clips. Do record quite a bit of full song original music. So tend to look at how my tone each weak leads toward the next original song being done. That makes for varied demos because I seem to bounce between the heavies & strait hard rock back n forth. Just scored the Orange OR30 head & finally got a chance to jam on it. Simple quick run through. The 3 way bright switch & The presence work so well. This amp is super easy to adjust to dif guitars. Do you experience a big volume drop on channel one from Clean to Overdrive/Crunch My volume basically drops more than half .
Yes i do for sure. I love this amp & that is the only thing i noticed that was hard to work around. Pretty much won't use this for clean-super clean situations but the clean is pretty decent.
@@OldManJamGearClips-p5x I agree, you either have to use it as a clean only or overdrive channel. It's not a slight adjustment either. Thanks

How do you compare 5150 iconic to peavey 5150?? Which do you prefer??
Hey thanks for watching. I love this new iconic el34 but i sorta come from the marshall side of things over the years & its the best amp i ever played. In the room & on full songs its right where it needs to be. It responds very well to speakers & dif guitar pickups, very touch sensitive or a beast depending on which way you run it. But i love all the 5150's. Using all those cabs can pretty much get any tone am looking for. I just don'"t play the heavies, i like mid gain & edge of breakup type tone also.

Just did videos on all the cabs with the iconic. Ended up using the fender HM with K 100's & g12-65 on first recording with it. Tracked very well
