My name's David and I've been working with various CAD and CNC programs for over 30 years and I've been teaching CAD for 18 years. My aim with this channel is to upload everything from basic to complex video tutorials on both 2D and 3D CAD. Then when I've got the initial content sorted I hope to start creating videos of frequently requested items. So if you've got a problem with 2D or 3D sketches and modelling post a comment and I'll try to get onto it for you.
My focus starting out will be SolidWorks for my current class due to the ongoing pandemic.
However when I get caught up with that I hope to post further training in AutoCAD, Fusion360, Autodesk Inventor and some CNC packages including Cimco and the number one CAD/CAM package (in my humble opinion) MasterCAM
Stay tuned for regular updates please hit the like and subscribe buttons to my channel.
Oh and don't forget to hit the bell to get notified when I post an update.
Thank you
David

OMG!! How is it possible that these tutorials are free of charge and people don't even know about it? Your RUclips channel is all that is need for advanced part modelling training course. Thanks so much for the good work.
Thanx
Very useful Thanks
Thank you
Thank you so much
Thank you!
Thank you!
Very helpful thank you!
I do It different every time I try it, you might try making vertical construction lines top and bottom off the origin and make use of the dynamic mirror command, I had the video completed before I thought of it, to be honest, would've been much quicker...
do oyu have tutorial how to create each part?
No Sorry got this from SolidWorks as a completed model...
5 minutes 21 seconds a new record, stick with me I'll get there..😂
Short n Sweet, 8 minutes long lol...enjoy...
thanks man
So helpful!
Thanks
Thanks
nice one dude! but what is the difference between the features? when will i choose each one of them?
When creating a loft you only have control of the start and end profile curvature, boundary if you noticed in the clip you get control boxes on screen for each sketch (in this case 3). In so far as which one should you use it comes down to your own need for control on the profile... If you need to blend the profile at each sketch to get your desired shape then boundary is the one to use if you can get the desired outcome using guide curves then go with loft. The shapes you're going to be making with both these features are very subjective and almost freehand profiles in nature (although you can dimension the likes of the guide curves) so there's no definitive answer to which you should use... Hope this helps, if you wish further clarification please feel free to post further questions... I'm new to RUclips and hope to post multiple cad and cnc packages over the next year or so... I'm in lockdown so it's keeping me busy 😂, hope you're staying safe, take care.
Great video with great skill.I also have a solidworks channel
Thank you, had a look at your channel, some nice models, I've just started uploading videos but my goal would be eventually to focus on 3D Printing. I've got hundreds of items to get through first before I get there. I'll be sure to keep an eye on your channel.
