    9:47 "written by a woman, but told from a man's perspective," ... I read this book, and from page one it sounded like a TikTok video that is anti-male. Han Kang delivered a feminist wet dream with every talking point that is a crack hit to promote every negative stereotypes from feminist theory. Notice how the sister's male gaze in part 3 is less pronounced compared to part 1 and 2. I'm surprised that there was restraint when talking about the kid trying so hard to make mom smile. It's a good product of TikTok before TikTok was invented. Maybe it's the seed to the tree of TikTok that makes the behavior of everyone in the book reflective worthy. When a guy malesplains, this is what it looks like when feminist theory is consumed with hearing women in the minority too. There is no balance of the male bashing.

    I just started this novel, so far its interesting with its ideas, style, and creative viewpoint. I too have gradually become somewhat of a vegan in my sympathy for animals and nature. And i've become increasingly concerned about a greater collective intelligence that includes all of nature. I've gradually become a tree-hugger as they are so magnificent i cannot not help to admire and respect them but also the leaf the blade of grass the beautiful flower. Its about sympathy respect and love. And i owe no one any apology for this transition , this gradual awakening and discovery of which i am very proud.

    Who would have thought that the author Han Kang would win the Nobel Prize in Literature back in 2022 and now here we are in 2024 as Koreans celebrate her winning the prize, people here in Korea are going insane over her win and buying all her books. I am so proud of her and big congratulations to her and her country. Her writing takes deep into painful human suffering and trauma that we all humans can relate to especially in this day and age with all the war and suffering we are literally witnessing right before our eyes. She is an amazing writer and a wonderful and caring human being. God bless you Han Kang!! We all love you very much!!

    Dear Booklover and beautiful soul! My name is Agnes Black. Actually now I pray to the universe energies, my stars in the cosmos, saints, and guardian angels, because I would like you attention to me. I hope maybe it once time I success me. Please read my short book about the people's soul. I'm a hungarian lady. I published my book 4 years ago under the Covid. The Title Soul's Touch on Google Play Bookshop.(some poem, stories contain) when i was 6 years i learn 9 years in music school on piano. It was difficult like begginer, but i prouved there's not exist as impossible and could be to win first place so small hands. If the people really want something that make dream come true. Sure this is choice but yes the karma working and so important the pure and clear soul, 3. Eye(brain)chakra with meal detox. Intermitted fasting, limit/correct rules in the life ( nothing hedonism, money-,relationships-,nimfo-,alcohol-,drug-,cigarette-,sugar-,coffee-, fast foods mania, love-,game-, derby-, or addicted a create fictive, fake influencer's face paint in glitter effect -, terrorist/propaganda/ violence/ provocative/ critic/ rassism/ idea-, or any other mania) All intemperance stems from greed, which leads to immorality and dishonesty. Take love as an example. We can't destroy every marriage because of an adventure just because we like a person. But also too much sexuality, from nymphomania to pornography to pedophilia and molestation. Which can also lead to sexually transmitted diseases. Like a drug. They are addictive. They can escalate to violence and aggression. As well as the non-stop shopping, ("catfish", gold digger, sugar nanny/daddy effect)which comes from the joy of possession, and even could be into kleptomania. Hoarding, Harassment, these all create individuals infected with false politics, dogmas, ideas, and an atmosphere filled with vested interests, ulterior motives, lust for power, and abuse of power/right. There are also less extreme but more serious illnesses, such as eating disorders resulting from excessive maximalism. In which they turns from a rigid body image-idealistic mirror image construction into a marionette doll, a person who wants to control his life and make decisions with his own injuries. A hungarian writer Weöres wrote this:"As soon as we no longer have a need for pleasure, we will find out about its incessant mode, but we will not live with it, because we will no longer need confirmations of our faith or interests, in order to respect ourselves, humanity does not need to be made happier and wiser. We do not live with it... because the unchanged existence does not drive away the changing life, it does not even hate it, but rather embraces it. It does not want to help anyone, but it perceives evil as a teacher and endures it." We should not envy others, but admire and follow them. There will always be people who are better than us at something. Let's not deal with what bothers us, incites us to anger, upsets us. We don't even have to hope that our good example will be sticky or not. You don't have to send anything, but it will be bold, there will be one continuously, there will be something to do with our scraps. Let's just let others live and don't complain about them. Don't expect anything, don't ask for anything. We ignore what we don't get, let's focus on what is most necessary. Let's hold on to the flow - then everything will develop. I'm not talking about drifting, when we wander here and there to other people. The universe knows better what we need. It's bad to force anything. When we are not looking for something, we find it four-leaf clover. We don't have to understand everything and we don't have to search for answers that we can't get. There is no need to yearn/beg for the love and attention of others, to please everyone and to try to please everyone, only when we are bubbling do our souls fall apart into molecules. Nowadays, people revolve around themselves, they are busy with their own problems, and they attention. So when we talk to them, it's like we're talking to ourselves. There are people who were more extroverted as children than they were as adults, like me. They did not like to be alone much, they also looked for more and more friends, because they were still developing and growing up, full of knowledge, questions and curiosity. But the priorities and the order of values change. Especially when you love being alone. We will can to love the quiet. We will to understand that where nothing begins, everything begins. Thank you very much in advance from Transylvania ❤ have a nice day and year:) God bless you! Namaste xoxo, Agnes P.c: my ars poetica: " live and let live"

    God exactly! When I was looking for opinions on such a book, everyone farted flowers and this book is my biggest shopping mistake. The characters are so childish and just plain stupid. The girl hasn't changed in so many years and I think people who haven't changed even a bit for the better in about 8 years are toxic. The spicy scenes are unrealistic and he manipulates her in most of them. I don't understand how anyone can like it

    I feel so validated after watching your video (also thought the random Anna Karenina spoiler was so unnecessary)! One thing that really bothered me about this book is how much of the story feels unnaturally pieced together. The characters are inserted into the story but don't really feel like a part of the world. The events of the story feel separate from the characters, and don't seem to really influence the characters themselves. I noticed that when you read the excerpt about Misha threatening/assaulting Ryen with the scissors aloud, the writing sounded extremely clunky, like there was a missing sentence or two. I have a theory that this story started as some kind of High School AU fanfiction that managed to fly under the radar. Mainly because it feels like a story that has been cut-and-pasted together from another source, though I could be reading too much between the lines.

  • @kimcheese7734
    @kimcheese7734 Год назад

    I enjoyed the first 5 chapters and then it went down hill. I thought the idea of pen pals was cute, but I don't really like the characters. Misha is a hypocrite who hates that Ryne is faking her personality while he's roaming around here with a fake identity. At the beginning the author made Misha's sister death seem significant, but as we progress with the story Misha acts as if it never happened and only thinks of banging Ryen. The characters feel like objects with some dialogue since I couldn't sense any feelings or depth to them.
