Implementing an inventory system for my game using my own game engine (devlog)
In this video, I explain from a technical side, the implementation of the inventory system for my game. The inventory system is meant to be extendible and to account for any type of item behaviour. From the storing, to the usage, to the removal of the item, the behaviour can be defined specifically per item. Here, I show an example of the creation of an unique key item to open a specific door. ...

New Dynamic Battle System for RPG Maker XP (Early phase)
Nice showcase and thanks for sharing the information.😀
Thanks!
looks cool
Thanks a lot !
O wow. It is hard enough to create games with the apps available, but you made your own game engine! You are a genius! Looking great.
Thanks a lot. It takes time but afterwards it becomes handy. Everything you do is focused on the type of game you are making and you can speed up the dev process by making the proper tools. But as I said it takes a lot of time and motivation 😂. But comments like this keep me motivated.
This looks sick! Brilliant
Nice, well done. Very impressive making your own engine!
And the game.
Thanks a lot! Started just as a learning project, but in the end I got a quite far and now I am comitted to finish a game with it!
@@EdenDev uuuu how long did it took you to get to this stage?
@@EdenDev Thats the spirit!
@@andreidaniel687I have been working for already one year and a half on the engine and game. However, I have a full time job on the side. If you work full time on this probably takes shorter
Unfortunately, few seconds of the video have been cut (my mistake). There, I give some examples of not that common topics, such as, how the idea of a prefab (Unity) is coded and manage by the engine or how the references assigned in the editor (i.e. components) are then resolved at runtime.
Gracias
