“Oooh Mullen, let’s make a tincture to give ourselves enemas with so we can get the spirit of nature to absorb through our colons and we can commune with mother Shiva” - every crunchy hipster broad on the planet
@@papadoobie5651 this is often true lol 😂, I'm less of a tincture person myself I just like the tea it has a pleasant taste as far as tea goes taste like grass, and I probably drink the tea a few times a month usually I just use fresh leaves and boil ten minutes, I find that it definitely puts you in a good mood for whatever reason, I also drink mullein tea when I'm sick and usually the next day am better. they used to use it as a treatment for tuberculosis and in my opinion there is definitely something to the plant in regards to health and well being, I have never had any enema with the tea, but it definitely is a natural diuretic lol 😂, in my region I have found it in the dead of winter growing when im out hunting or something, because we usually only get 5 inches of snow that melts right away, but it can be hard to find that time of year, so I wanted to dry some for the cold months.
What do you do with dried golden rod ? I have tons of it.
You make tea out of it, it taste kind of like black licorice, it is very strong tasting, but it is very rich and unique.
@offgrid6789 thanks I mite try this tea. Grandma drinks tea everyday. 🍵
How does this work with the base? Is there a more permanent solution down the road or is it always going to stand on those concrete pillars?
Always going to be on the pillars in going to build stairs and a porch on it and floor joist inside for the floor
….help me Lord, I surely need You to look down from heaven upon thy servant and bless me as only You can…in Jesus name. Amen
Praise the lord for he’s Good blessed love
Logs are going up pretty good. What kind of roof are you putting on.
Sheet metal roof hopefully I am up to that in the next few weeks
How long do the baby bunnies stay with the mother ?
Usually 30 days, they can live on there own at like 15-20 days but some usually don't live that early, they can stay as long as 40-50 days. They are usually a pound or more by 8 weeks probably 2+ pounds by 10-12 weeks
@offgrid6789 thank you that was very informative 👍
Your welcome, yeah they grow fast I eat some and sell some and keep some to breed, they can really provide a lot, I have read that from 6 breeding rabbits you can get 600 pounds of meat but even half of that is pretty impressive to me
Also they make the best fertilizer of any animal other than horse with there manure
Dog gone cute bunnies ❤
Thanks
Cool cacti and great video. Any idea what species they are? I'm guessing compressa or humifusa
@@JeagerTv eastern prickly pear variety, I found them growing out in a field here in Missouri and transplanted, I eat some of them, they are growing great today still
Very cool, thanks! I recently stumbled upon a wild patch of these myself and grabbed a couple pads to propagate. Thanks again for the video and the info
Looking very good, nice and big.
Thank you!
Awesome man that’s a good size. I started one as a kid but I want to build a proper one someday
@@christianrios6295 yes it is 16x16 starts to come together well once you get going, best to let the logs sit in a triangular pile, I individually cut each notch depending on width, let logs sit for about 4-8 months I would say, a few greens won't hurt ,but definitely the logs that sat are better, I left the bark on and debark a few every week as I go. Also due to regulations it makes it very hard to build something custom like this many places.
Nice brother.....can i ask how you plan to tie in the floor?
@@BlueEyedColonizer probably just joist hangers should work well as it is elevated it won't be a log floor, rouch cut wood floor the rough cut lumber is about 2.75 for a 1x8x10 by me so it only makes sense to do the floor that way
Like the door cut , 😅sweat
Thank you I've started on the window sections now I think I have 8-9 logs to finish the walls
They eat rats and mice. Good to have around. But they can eat eggs also
They also keep copperhead away, I'm not really much of a fan of them anyway
Nice
Thank you!
At man it’s nice u need to post tutorials and stuff like diy vids ab that stuff cause I could rlly learn from it
I try to give a tutorial in most of my videos on the channel, I kind of show the process as I go and talk about tricks and tips I have 2 building videos on the cabin so far and the third one comes out tomorrow etc
@@offgrid6789 Alr man looking forward to it and dw if u can’t
It's looking good ❤
Thank you!
If you did more working than talking, you'd probably have more likes.
I'm just trying to give people an idea how and why I'm doing certain things in case they want to build one, but I do appreciate the insight I do a lot of work unfilmed on the cabin too
Nice shot
Thanks!
Dogs are always ready to go
Especially this one lol 😂
woah
Sick!!
Thanks!
looks good
Thanks it's coming along good so far I'm about halfway there I would say
Who's "you guys" and who gives a fuck?
The people who watch the channel or videos and or subscribers. To the second question someone that wants to go in the woods and build a log cabin or live off the grid is the point of my channel to help people live offgrid. I want you to know Jesus Christ loves you, I hope you have a good day.
Out of curiosity why u smoking a blue gill they have no meant
They have some meat on them especially the decent sized ones, I caught it while I was fishing for trout and it made sense to put it on the stringer, I would say about 5-10 good size ones make a good meal, they each have 2 fillets I usually pan fry them, plus they are invasive and take bass and better game fish habitat
Really enjoy your videos. Thanks
Thanks for watching!
Your garden looks like it is doing really well! Great work!
It's all organic just rabbit manure and wood ash and back to eden, thanks I really appreciate hoping to help other homesteaders with tips and tricks ❤️
Thanks for the tour of your homestead.. looking good..🙏
Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoyed the video
Really liked the log home report .❤
@@DonnaEinwich thanks glad you liked it! I can't wait to show once I get it done
Good to hear from you brother! Hopefully you doing great! One of your videos flip my life around I’m doing much better! Thank you God bless you!
Glad to hear! God bless you as well! I'm doing well just been pretty busy in a good way, it's work season for sure.
@@offgrid6789glad to hear that! I like the farm

Seem to work, so it great.

Fake news lol 😂
You can buu
You can bake in it
Looks wicked good
Not having an actual event set to the opposite side of the heat makes this an indirect cooker
Things to note on this comment, one there is a rack in the oven I can move around over the flame next to the flame etc, 2 without the lid on the temp in the barrel around the top reaches well over 450 degrees, with the lid on it stays around 300 or so, and 3 when I put the lid on the smoke stays in the chamber much longer so it's kind of a smoker and oven combo depending on use, I can also move the hook and hang the meat where ever I want on top of the barrel, truthfully not really sure on the difference it's basically a fire in a Barrel I cook on, pretty simple concept lol 😂
Nice and crispy, enjoy!
Tf you eating a rabbit for?
Rabbit is super tasty, we used to cook them on our week long hunting trips.
Because it is delectable I raise them for meat, all white meat, and lots of marble on raised rabbit
Better get a tetanus shot😂
Good shit
Hope u ain’t gonna eat that beautiful hog. I worked in meat works a lot of my working life and have seen enough dead animals to last me a lifetime. I gather u gonna feed the family. But hogs are mighty close to the taste of human meat. I really don’t think we r supposed to eat them.
And opinions are like booty holes… I usually keep mine to myself, cause ya know, it stinks
Pork raised for human consumption is perfectly fine 🙂 raise and grow your own food.. know where it comes from...👍👍👍
@@andyandrobinshrout6830 I agree totally, the only thing I disagree with is how closely we are related to hogs. We share the same DNA apart from 1 small difference, hence this is why hog taste nearly the same as a human. We shouldn’t eat hogs, lambs, beef, deer take your pick, but not swine.
@@andyandrobinshrout6830 They also use hogs to grow human organs. Look it up. That’s how closely we are related.
hes got a video of it in a pan frying now. or im assuming its the same pig.
Hell yeah
Good stuff, man, it’s gotta feel rewarding! Can’t wait for my peaches to pop!
That's exciting I have a peach tree too, but I think next year if it doesn't get frosted, it had 3 flowers this year, I Planted 2 one died ,but they are self pollinating. Nothing like fresh peaches off the tree best of luck on that!
Great news!
Yes it's exciting to get a apple I have been saying for months, I would be excited to get one apple and after years finally a few growing. My other tree had a bunch like 10 plus ,but they fell off when they were small and it started growing more branches I'm sure next year it will have a bundle!
🐷🤗
Most diffinitly happy!!!!!!
That he is lol
Cracked corn would be better
Yeah only problem is he waste half of it if I feed him cracked he tips it over and it's so fine with whole corn, I know he cleans it up
Wilbur!!!
They are really cute
He is quite the pig lol 😂
Just watched the cave cool. HAPPY EASTER God Bless you grandson.
Homesteading is very exciting but what happens to homesteaders as they age, such as 80yo + ? What happens if there is a serious illness or injury?
My opinion is You cross that road when you come to it can't live your life in fear worried about what if, tomorrow is guaranteed to no one, people lived for thousands of years and dealt with all kinds of things. The important thing is to put your trust in the lord and his hand to guide you and with that trust you should have no fear, even of death. Also everyone has to do things differently based on there ability.
Your answers are well thought. You are very wise. Love trusting in God. ❤️
Thanks you! @@pamschramer7765
Great Adventure! Love it
Yes it was a very fun tour and a nice cave!
Is there any legal issue broadcasting their tour lol?
No I told the tour guide I was filming it for RUclips, they tend to like people filming to promote the Cave tours at most Ozark caves I've been too
