Just testing night picture profile on my Sony. At the same time I was trying to catch some of the evening atmosphere here in France. ALERT FOR V 18.6 USERS !! In case anyone looking for this problem in v 18.6, you won't find the timeline option as shown in this video above media pool, you have to right click the timeline imported from xml in the media pool, then you'll see timelines in the options, hover over it to see (reconform bins option), then follow the steps in the video (P.s - learned it from personal experience)

I've clearly understood that you're changing the default setting in davinci (from time code -> file name) to sync without any problem But I stuck at finding the timelines option in media pool, after few mins, I found out
@@mohanraj-bm8wp well, I wouldn't say that It changes default settings. It changes the conform method
But It Didn't worked in my case

I don't know if thank you is enough... you saved hours of my work.I am a full time editor who took the hard decision to migrate to resolve from Premiere for my personal projects and this problem was annoying me like anything.... Checked many channels but no one could give the solution.

Hey bro, Just did the same what you did, but after linking the files the time codes of the videos gets disrupted, i mean they are out of sync as well as different part of the videos are playing in the timeline, what to do

Да, к сожалению это не 100% решение проблемы. Работает, но бывают промохи. Обычно по ле рекомформинга, на таймлинии, на самих клипах, в левом нижнем углу появляется кнопка с вожможностью выбора из нескольких вариантов. Это обычно решает проблему
чел зайди в атрибуты клипа и проверь что таймкод начинается с 0 как таймлайн

Thank you for a comment. How many audio files are there? If it's just a few, you can place the good audio file on a track under original one, right click, Sync audio, based on waveform

It doesn´t work for me; worked once, but never more. I´m struggling with this TC issue... I´ve a sequence PR xml to Davinci Timeline;, it imports most of the clips, but with wrong name; the rest are imported assuming that all clips start on 0, so if i´ve a previous editing, all clips starts on the 1st frame 00:00:00:00... I´ve a 40 minutes sequence that i pre-edited on Premiere and it doesn´t works at all jajajaja. I updated Premiere to Premiere 24, and it didn´t solve anything... I can´t believe that something so huge isn´t fixed, neither by Sony, neither by Adobe, neither by DaVinci... I can´t understand.... There has to be a fix... Anyway, thax for your help! :)

@@tarask9971 I don´t know why this is still happening... I didn´t try it on DaVinci 19, because is on BETA, but on Premiere 24, the timecodes didn´t work at all... The thing that annoyes me the most, is that on Saturday, I exported the xml and I didn´t have any troubles, but suddendly, yesterday it didn´t work at all... xD I can´t believe that neither Sony, Adobe nor BlackMagic are not giving a workaround-solution... I need to get in contact with Sony shooters, and ask them what is their workflowm because the FX3 is one of the most popular cameras out there, and the are tons of people having this same issue... Thx u very much for your understanding. You give me hope, then Adobe stole it jajaja

Тарас, извини. У меня все таки не получилось. Файлы уже видит, но каждый клип в таймлинии берет с самого сначала исходника(не так как я нарезал в Premiere) Подскажи пожалуйста как решить эту проблему.
@@clarityvisionmovie4555 да, смотрю не у всех это работает, ну или не всегда. Скажи пожалуйста, а даёт ли давинчи выбрать файл? (Появился ли на самом файле на таймлайне значек в левом нижнем углу со стрелочками?)

I keep getting the source clips in the bin are not able to be conformed... Tried 3 times now with new project, imported xml from FCPX and then load the timeline, select all the clips, unlock , then right click the timeline and untick timecode and choose everything like you do but get that error? Any suggestions? This would be a amazing solution, it does work when do the other suggested way one by one and changing the time code for some odd reason... But when trying your method it never works? Thanks for any help!!!
Interesting. Try this one, when you importing an XML, keep the "Automatically import source clips into media pool" box checked. Also, when you right click on timeline and choose reconform from bins, make sure that all bins are checked under "Choose Conform Bins" (at the left side of the window).
@@tarask9971 Yeh, No luck, just keep getting the time line clips could not be re-conform. Were you working with Sony Clips by the way? They are known for having this problem...

@@ekphotography What I did was uncheck tight file name search and check loose file name search which worked but the timecode were pretty off so its still not the right interpreted timeline for me :(
I cannot believe Davinci has NOT fixed this yet!!! renaming the timecode to 000000 is a PIA to do on 100's of clips!! This looks awesome but I cannot find my timeline under master like yours and when I right click my timeline when I do, there is no conform option? Am I missing something? 18.6.2 here? Thanks, this would be a life saver!!!
18.6.2 all correct. Conform option should only appear when you importing timeline, not when you create it in davinci.
@@tarask9971 Hate to bother you but would really love to figure this out.. I am importing a timeline and from an XML sent out of FCPX.._ I have not created a timeline in Davinci.. Tried that too but not go. AT the moment I am exporting simple XML to DR then importing it as a time line. I see you had the clips already imported in your tutorial and I tried that as well. Started a project, imported the media and then imported the time line.. Either it says it cannot conform or nothing happens..

@@tarask9971 Going to try that now, again sorry to bother you,,, I will comment when I try it for sure. Like you , the changing clip time code works but I sometimes have 50-100 clips and your way seems like the best way for sure if I can get it to work..
@@ekphotography it's no problem. O would love to help, but still cant get, what the problem is. Another thing, did you use Proxy in Final Cut? It might be that when you export an XML, it links proxy, but not the original files. If so, just switch to original in Final Cut befor exporting an XML
