I've noticed that, when recording in OBS, the vertical cropping is really bad, it cuts off 30% off the top of the FOV. I've seen a bunch of different things that supposedly fix it, but this video is so clear that I'm hoping that you might have an idea?

I do have a question, I’m at 5 minutes in to where you’re selecting the window that you want it to see and VR view is not popping up, I’ve done everything correct so I’m a bit confused.

obs shows black screen

So all my audio always runs through desktop audio. all of it. my mic channel doesn't pick up anything. the mic records but only though the desktop audio with everything else so i have no way of adjusting individual audio tracks. Ive tried absolutely everything and followed every tutorial on youtube and it doesn't seem like anyone else has ever even had this issue. again. it recognizes my headset mic but will only record it through the desktop audio which seems to be acting as a master track that everything runs though. i have tried everything that the internet has to offer and nothing even kind of helps. also not as big of an issue but when trying to record through game capture or through a specific window it cuts out like half the screen so i cant see almost anything in the recording that i can see in game. any help is much appreciated.

Can someone help me? when im trying to record a video/livestream i go on my mic and i want to connect my microphone with my headset and it says i can. then i connect i go on my headset and it can't hear me. any fixes for that?

i cant record my games, i setup it like you said and other videos said, still cant record, because the VRview on source dont show any image is all black... i only can capture the game.exe and it is much zoomed =(

I was trying to follow some guides online but i couldn't find some of the options they were telling me to select. They were completely wrong though, as your setup is very different, but has worked perfectly. Thank you again! New sub! :)

I know this is an old video, but I will say when it comes to recording audio for youtube (not streaming), I actually split my audio out into separate channels so that desktop audio is on one channel and mic audio in another. That way you can have them completely separate and can manipulate each individually.

i wish this would exist for standalone quest 2

My favorite part so far is that VR View is just black no matter what I do. Google search has been ineffective so far.

And if you want to stream Meta Quest 3 instead of Steam VR?

Wow I think this is it why I always get a weird view in shooters always the scope isn't in the middle and half on the screen. So steam view is the way to stream you're game now nice. I just did monitor game capture in obs

Well...Is so nice all of u do..Tks for that. But..nothing working for me..can u hellp me please? 1 - The B Eyes - Rigth Dominant is active. 2 - At OBS th VR Wiew also active..but when i look at OBS a can see the steam home but when i start the game the image stuk on the steam home and does´t show me the game unless i get bak to the setings and shose the game window capture. Can u tell me whats going on and how i fix that? Becouse i like to use the chat with OVR Tolkit and i need this working..please

Great tutorial. I just ordered a Quest 3. It arrives first thing in the morning! When OBS was new, I tried it and had all kinds of issues. I had a difficult time removing it. But this was over 10 years ago and I may have downloaded a bogus version. Now that I know it's the standard and want to produce more content, I'm giving it another shot.
