This weekend, I dedicated my time to organizing my yarn stash and trying out two exciting new products from Bobble Puff. It was a fun and productive weekend! I even created a detailed yarn inventory spreadsheet to keep track of everything. If you’re a fellow yarn enthusiast, you’ll definitely appreciate watching me dive into the spreadsheet and share my thoughts on these products. Plus, I’ll be...

We went camping over the weekend, and I brought yarn and hooks to teach my daughter-in-law and her sister how to crochet. On the way there, my husband and I had a great behind-the-scenes conversation about my crochet business and had some great laughs! If you watch until the end, there's a special message from me! Wow! That was a lot of helpful information. Thank you for sharing your knowledge❣I didn't realize so much was involved in designing and writing crochet patterns. I'm excited and looking forward to your next podcast. Thank you again!!!❤
@@sultanamuzikir5587 Thank you, Sultana! 💛 There's a lot of info to share! Lots more to come!
I can't wait!!!
Yesss, very excited for a new Sweet Bird upload <3 Cheers and much love -S. <3
Thank you so much! Enjoy!
Can we just agree on calling it Stitchonary / Stitchionary? 🙈 So much easier so pronounce 💖 Great video! I usually do only my small amigurumis because you know, attention span 😅. But OMG all these beatiful stitches makes me want to create big gorgeous blanket and scarves 😍
OMG!! This is perfect! Had I known, I wouldn't have had to say it so slowly. I almost said a few "not for young ears" words! 😂
@@sweetbirdcrochet hahaha 🤣 I can just imagine!
Awesome! Keep em coming <3 <3 <3
Will do!
I have most of those books and reference them often for inspiration! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
You're welcome, Sharon! I love building my library so let me know if you have any recommendations!
Hi Cherie! Thank you for explaining how to use Stitch Dictionaries❣ I have a couple of them but I haven't really used them much. Now that I've seen your video, I'm going to utilize them more in my crochet pattern designs. I love the design of your scarf and blanket too!!!❤ By the way, I do know about Vanna White and how she loves to crochet. I have one of her blanket pattern books also. In addition, I've also purchased her yarn. Also, in the future, could you kindly make a video about how to read crochet diagrams? I've been avoiding them for years and I haven't really made an effort to try it out. I think that I'm ready now.😅 Thank you again for sharing your experience and knowledge with the Crochet Community!!!
Hi Cherie! I enjoyed listening to your podcast and love how you defined what is a "Tech Editor". Your explanation was so clear and the information that you shared is invaluable. Also, thank you for sharing my feedback regarding my experience working with you. It was definitely a pleasure and I look forward to working with you in the future on more crochet patterns. I'm so glad that you decided to make this podcast❣😍
Thank you Cherie for such an informative podcast. It is full of so much useful information and I appreciate you sharing your knowledge with us❣ I truly enjoyed learning about the many reasons why crochet pattern designers should use the standards of the industry to present professional patterns. I thank you so much for starting this podcast and I look forward to more episodes.❤
@@sultanamuzikir5587 Sultana, you are so welcome! I've really been enjoying sharing this information because I know there's not a lot of information out there for designers.
@@sweetbirdcrochet 😍
Love all the info! Great podcast!
@@SquibblesCrochetCorner Thank you!! 💛
THIS is the Podcast that I needed in my life. There isn't enough informative podcasts/RUclipsrs for my brain on many of these topics in the fibre world, (especially on standards and these more detail oriented parts of the fibre communities, whether knit or crochet.) I need more! I appreciate you, your knowledge, and the attention to detail so much! I really hope this series continues for as long as possible, I'll definitely keep coming back for more. This style of educational information is so good for working on projects. I adore the way you present your information, you keep my brain engaged. I also found and appreciate the historical information you gave on the metric system and how it was attempted to be incorporated, and standard abbreviation past, etc. so interesting! <3 Cheers and much love! -S. <3
How freaking lucky that I just found you through a tech editing interview on The Tech Editor Hub's channel, you were talking about how you enjoy teaching design and I decided to look you up, and here you are a month ago you made a YT channel! YAY! Super excited for everything you have in store and I am so glad I came across your interview from last year. Cheers and much love! -S. <3 PS, you seem like so much fun! <3
I'm so glad you found me, too! I'm excited about this journey and so glad you're here from the beginning! Don't forget to join my newsletter Flock! 💛💛

@@Lydiepinscrochet Thanks for listening!
Awesome episode, Cherie (:
Thank you Annie! 💛💛
So awesome! I had never heard about tech editors before Annie from Hooks and Heelers mentioned your name in one of her videos I saw today. I am currently working on moving most of my business off etsy iand into my own website which I hope to be able to launch within the next coming weeks. I have been crocheting and selling my little critters for a few years but due to so many requests for a long time now, it is time I start putting my patterns out there aswell, which is so much fun and exciting but also so very scary! I'm looking forward to your next podcast episode 🥰✨
Yes!! I'm excited for you! Write That Crochet Pattern!! I'd love to work with you on editing your patterns! Are you signed up for my newsletter? If not, the link is on my channel. You can sign up by clicking the 'Free Pattern Writing Template' link. If you have any questions, let me know! I'd love to help!
OMG!!! I totally enjoyed your video!!!❣❣ I am highly impressed with how you organized your yarn. Also, thank you for sharing your yarn organizing spreadsheet. If would be helpful if you make a video on how to add rows, etc. I don't know if I can be as meticulous organizing my yarn. However, I'm going to give it a good try.😍Wow, you are a trooper. 💯
I'll record a video soon! Thanks for watching Sultana! You're the trooper!
@@sweetbirdcrochet Okay, thank you! My pleasure! I'm really enjoying watching your videos❣
Thank you SO much for helping to spread the word about our YARNstashr™ products, Cherie! Looks like we might have accidentally created a wildlife habitat instead of yarn organizer, if your sweet bird has anything to say about it. :) Appreciate your support immensely.
She was raised with yarn and prefers it over all the toys I buy her! It's Kalani tested, crocheter approved!
🦜🦜 your email literally came through while I was purchasing my stash lol. Are you spying on me 👀👀 jk.
👀👀👀...maybe! 😂 Thanks for watching! 🦜
Great initiative! Good luck with it. I am writing crochet patterns since 2016 and in the process to re-write my patterns.
That's wonderful! Revising and updating patterns is a great idea! Especially if, over the years, you've probably learned a writing style you really like!
I really enjoyed your video!!! It was so much fun and I enjoyed the question/answer session with your husband. I got a little concerned for him when he mentioned his concern about yarn being everywhere and you having so many wips!!!😂The camping looked like it was fun, but I'm not really a camping person. IF I ever considered camping, it would have to definitely be Glamping!😃 In addition, I enjoyed watching you teach your daughter-in-law and her sister how to crochet. They did an excellent job. I truly appreciate the message that you gave crochet designers and it gave me an extra boost to get my next pattern to you asap!!! Thank you for sharing❣
I was concerned for him too! 🤣 I can't wait to see that new pattern! Now that you mentioned it, I'll hold you accountable!
@@sweetbirdcrochet Okay!!!😅
