In this video, we demonstrate how to build and solve a heat transfer problem involving both conduction and convection using the Nonisothermal Flow multiphysics coupling in COMSOL Multiphysics. The example focuses on a stainless-steel MEMS heat exchanger, commonly found in lab-on-a-chip devices used in biotechnology and microreactors like those in micro fuel cells. We'll explore the heat exchang...

1 m long aluminum wire of diameter 3 mm (ρ= 2702 kg/ m3, C p = 0.896 kJ/kg⋅K, k = 236 W/m⋅K,) is extruded at a temperature of 350° C and exposed to atmospheric air at 30° C with a heat transfer coefficient of 35 W/ m 2 ⋅K. Determine how long it will take for the wire temperature to drop to 50° C. ref. Yunus Cengel , Afshin Ghajar Heat And Mass Transfer 6th Edition, Problem 4.144, Chapter 4,

COMSOL Simulation: Velocity profile of liquid confined between a moving and stationary wall: Part 2
Просмотров 2808 месяцев назад
In this video, we examine the transient viscous diffusion of momentum, exploring how the velocity changes over time between a stationary lower plate and a moving upper plate in a confined space in COMSOL Multiphysics. We consider two cases: 1. Upper wall is moving with a constant velocity such as vx=vx0 (Part 1). 2. Upper wall is oscillating to the right and left in such a way that its x veloci...

ASPEN HYSYS Simualtion of Catlytic Reaction in a Plug Flow Reactor
Просмотров 608Год назад
Here we simulate the production of styreren in a catalytic Plug flow reactor. Styrene is produced by catalytic dehydrogenation of ethylbenzene at temperatures starting from 630◦C and pressures slightly above atmospheric pressure in the presence of water steam. Two main side reactions take place in this process: pyrolysis of ethylbenzene to benzene and ethylene and ethyl-benzene hydrodealkylatio...

in schematic their eleviation shown for the 3rd pipe length of 50m , why u have not consider the elevation
this is the head loss that matters. You may add for any pipe segment. It is ignored here.

Hello. I have a 2D system. There is a vein with blood flow and I want to define biological tissue. For 2D system, I assign non-isothermal laminar flow for flow domain and heat transfer in fluids for biological tissue. Is it correct? Should I assign heat transfer in solids to define the tissue? thanks

Thank you for this informative video, I would like to ask, Is it possible to model a Transient HT problem for a an Insulated tank that contains aggregate held in 100 c and see the temperature of the aggregate after 24 hours, in other words what would be the temperature of the aggregate after 24 hours if it was preheated and sent to the tank at 100 C. I appreciate highly if you could suggest something or tip sth in this regards. which boundary conditions may be used in such case, and how to model the aggregate? Thank you in Advance
could you perform optimization for this case please

How to model solid material, but surface of the material will be changing with time based on environment temperature. For different materials the response will be different. For example during when the whether is 5 degC, some materials like glass with time can reach 2 degC meanwhile at same condition other materials like plastic will be between 4-5degC. Thanks
So, basically you're saying that the surface or basically the material is non-homogenuous???? Then, you must model the material during the construction of Geometry carefully.
Hello please i have a question could share your email?
