As a former infielder, I like the drills too. As a coach, the only thing I don't like is the unrealistic hops off of a turf compared to a dirt infield. These are great ways to keep every girl involved and not a lot of standing around.
Love the drills just one question. Do you think it's to early for these young kids to be throwing side arm? I feel like their tendons are strong enough yet and you could mess up your arm at a young age.

All good coaches do the same drills. But do it on dirt so the ball never takes a perfect hop. Getting rid of the ball doesn't require side arm throw. Footwork is key!

Should never do fielding drills without throwing the ball
E Mann I don't agree with you at all. We do progressive drills where we work on specific parts of fielding and work up to the throws.
Great techniques, in and out of your Glove. That's not side arm it's a different angle.
