Nice video. I played a hell lot on the Playstation, finished alll campaigns and had fun in the maps with different technology levels (soldiers wars was a lot of fun). I even learned the cheats, so sometimes I was chilling teleporting tanks around.

My first ever C&C game, funnily enough. I owned the original PlayStation 1 version of the game. It was really fun playing through it, even if the controls are clunky at best on controller. Colour palette was weird though, Soviets looked more Salmon Pink than Blood Red whilst Allies looked more a sorta rich Baby Blue than Gunmetal Grey. I probably even still have the old notebook my brother had where he wrote down all the Mission Passwords so you could just jump to your favourite mission despite how hard it was (was even in Red/Blue Gel pens to signify which game's campaign you had to input the code in). Awesome watching this, and I'm glad I had this game to play for my childhood.

Amazing how similar your story with the game is to my own. Good times with dad when I was a wee lad, etc. It was not the first game I played, but close. I definitely found it to be my first favorite game, and I'm not sure if it has ever lost that position. Also I hear that Christopher guy is a loser 😉

personally, i think red alert 1 is mostly nostalgia. RA 2 is way more superior in every way. and thats the game id recommend to ppl new to cnc overall.

We could have actually had this in an actual game had EA been a bigger asshole to Westwood and forced them to release Renegade a year sooner

Good and funny

It's the start of something great, and plot is fun to follow. Gameplaywise I found the game to be very skippable. Not sure if it mattered enough but I played the original version, not any sort of remaster. My biggest issues were just how clunky it was. Historically I got started with Red Alert 2, and while Tiberian Sun is clunkier in comparison, it's been playable enough as I've revisited the series. But Tiberian Dawn, skip for me these days. Certainly worth a try for anyone looking into the series, whether it be finished or not. It's a neat historical relic. And play it or not, at least look through the story. Appropriately hyped video!

Have you ever tried OpenRA? Would be interested to know what you think of our (standalone) mod. C&C is my favourite game of all time too, would like to think we've done it justice. 🙂

My favorite franchise as well. Was groundbreaking in its day and I bought the remaster the day it came out. The nostalgia alone made it worth it!

Engineer cheese is what allowed me to beat the Tiberian Dawn campaign on Hard. Those A-10's were absolutely relentless.

C&C was my youth! This was a fun recap. We'll done.

Oh hey color me suprised when i saw your the guy that did the C&C fan film haha, i played the Remaster on Hard.....WHAT A GODAMN NIGHTMARE, not bad for a early video. Im the guy thats going to try and make sure Dying Breed is gonna have that cheesy old 3D asthetic of those 90s rts games. If i may suggest something talking a bit more about each games development , a bit of research can add a lot of value to the viewers (and potential joke material )
