Just got mine last week & I'm having trouble deploying the blade too sometimes. So I had heard about avoiding putting pressure on the lock bar but sometimes that blade just seems locking there. Are there any other fixes for what I'm experiencing? I wanted this Pilar 3 because it seemed as if it would fit my hand great & it does, I'm just having this trouble deploying the blade so much so my middle finger & thumb are sore. FYI it's my first lock bar knife. I'll give it more time, maybe take it apart & oil it? Watch your finger placement some more.

I've had the same Native5 for years & still one of my most carried pocket knives.

I love mine, i got the D2 with Veff serrations, it replaced my cold steel Ti-lite 4 as my edc. I never notice it in my pocket when its positioned where its meant to be for pocket deployment, and i keep a lighter and and sometimes keys without an issue, pocket deploy works flawlessly same as the thumb deployment. The veff serrations were worth it, amazing cutter straight out of the box. The clip i find works great with most of my pants so i have no complaint with it I got it partially for self defense but primarily for an emergency knife, i drive for a living so it is perfect to safely cut my seatbelt if i need to. I honestly dont understand how people think this is heavy i litterly forget its in my pocket lol just me i guess. Liked the review

I've had this knife since you made this video, along with many, many others, but the Arctic is hands down my favorite folder. The scales feel like stone and feels and works like a fixed blade knife. I remove all pocketclips from my knives, except for my rescue knives.

i actually like the pocket clip on this knife (i have nicknamed it "the dickclip", it looks kinda funny and it adds character to the knife, plus i do not mind non-deep carry clips on most knives, especially since this knife is not of the tactical variety. I just ordered myself one of these knives yesterday as a birthday present that should arrive on or near my birthday, it will be my first benchmade knife

Real review: 2 stars Sheath is garbage. The retention is just two little plastic dots, it really feels like it will fall out if carried tip up…. Not sure I trust it. You cannot rotate the clip “in the field” as you will unscrew it a little at a time until it falls off and you lose the screw OR you will slowly wear away the rotating mount until it doesn’t tighten at all… you have to use an Allen key to loosen and re-tighten it every single time you adjust the cant. Also, like all SOG knives, the hard plastic is really brittle and will crack, they should have used a molded kydex. The pocket clip has no reverse barb to hold onto a belt, if you pull up on the clip the sheath comes off with the knife instead of the blade drawing out of the sheath. Design failure. You have to pull against the clip to get a clean draw. The handle is REALLY thin and hard to hold onto, the steel is harsh 90° edges allllll the way down, expect your hands to hurt if you actually use this knife for anything. The jimping on the spine is actually sharp, so it will tear up your thumb if you really hold on to it… that being said, this knife seems to have one intended use, fighting off an attacker, in which case the harsh jimping will be good and the finger loop will help you hold on to it… but they sized the handle without a finger in the loop, if you put one finger through then the handle is a finger too long, creating a loose, imperfect grip. If you happen to have five fingers and a thumb on your knife hand, this will fit you perfectly… or if you happen to be 400 lbs with stubby little sausage-fingers. 1:07 the blade is actually a hawkbill, a sheep’s foot is a straight cutting edge, not curved. The steel is “soft” meaning it will go super dull super fast if you use this for cutting things, it’s not intended for heavy use, it’s meant to be there if you need to cut a bi*ch up. This isn’t a great knife. Even if you carry it every day, it’s 100% not an every day use knife, it’s for stabbing and cutting up people, not opening boxes or cutting string or any of that garbage. I’m clipping it tip-up to my inside coat pocket, just in case I can’t get to my gun or my good knife. I don’t plan on using it for anything apart from a backup backup backup, for that purpose, it’s almost ok.

Been carrying this knife for going on 7 years Damn near Every day knife has not ever fallen out of the sheath. But maybe you just got a crappy sheath or maybe I just lucked out and got a super good one🤷🏾‍♂️

Nobody seems to take it apart, and its "Not my style" for every video so far...

Bought mine in 2/22 and it immediately became my EDC. I lost it on the farm and went crazy trying to find it... no joy and almost immediately ordered a replacement. None of my previous EDC's would do!! About a week after receiving the replacement my sister in law found the original sitting right where I left it after cutting up some boxes for the trash. So my Sprint Pro brown burlap Macarta is back home where it sits so well.... and BONUS, I now have a spare. There is nothing that I don't like about it after over a year of EDC! The pocket clip is raised up on the end just enough so it's very smooth to clip it on thick jean pockets! No hot spot for me!! I damaged the Macata scale and asked Buck service to send me a new one.... they said send it in and well put a new one on for you. I sent it in with a check for $15 and they replaced the scale, polished, cleaned and sharpened her up.... back in my pocket in less than two weeks!! Great knife and great service!! Buck Rocks!

Excellent knives! Nothing about them is revolutionary, but they work and are reliable. Given that the design is 9 years old and they are still better than some of today's knives. I bought a CIVIVI Elementum to replace the RAT II, but none of that, it just doesn't give me that feeling of reliability like the RAT and it's too feminine a knife 😁

Just bought 2 from Indiana knives.

I’ve had mine since release and it’s a great work edc and smooth as butter I put the awt scales on it and the knife is so much better steel holds up cpm d2 is a much different beast than Chinese d2 .

It's a great looking and feeling blade. Fits like a glove.

This IS a great working knife, had it for a month and put it already thru hell. Geometry is stellar ergonomy also and CPM D2 is a great choice for a steel to be abused.

I have this knife a few things you missed on this knife and sheath. 1st clip can be put on either side of sheath has 360 degrees of rotation ps. I wear it handed down and it has not dropped knife yet I wear it every day that's 180days and counting. Also blade's edge retention is extremely high for soft metal . Top 3 best knifes ever purchased
