Audi a3 8p ecu removal
Просмотров 38 тыс.8 лет назад
I needed a new ecu, on taking off the plastic trim I came across the alluminium box covering the ecu, the two round bolts are once only bolts and there is no other way to get them off, some cut a slot on them and use a flat blade screwdriver, I just cut through them then prised them out, took about twenty minutes to get off about 10 to reverse, make sure when you get the spuds out of the fixed ...

This is what the instrument cluster is doing after I disconnected it and reconnected it without disconnecting the battery,

ADAM CARROLL TESTING A GP2 CAR AT KIRKISTOWN RACE TRACK, COUNTY DOWN
What is the point of this video. Just wasting people's time!!!
Do you need to get the car tuned or something like that or is it as simple as plug in and your good to go?
Hello bro. I have the same threadmill thats running still. Awesome quality
Wow still got yours, that's shows how good they were, unfortunately mine hasn't lasted as long but yes they are a great quality treadmill
Which way round was the ecu sat ? Fins at the top or bottom ?
To be honest it was so long ago I can't remember but going by the video the fins were at the top
On searching this comes up as an Audi A3 1.9Tdi yet clearly your vehicle is a 2.0Tdi
Hi, it's quite possible this car has had an engine change as I haven't owned it in a few years,
How did u fix tis problem
Had to change the ECU, clocks and key to fix it, cheaper and easier than just getting the clocks fixed
What's that plastic part right from the ecu from your point of view??
Hi. You sound like a local lad.. Belfast im guessin.... im in newcastle and have a 2010 a3 with BSE 1.6 petrol engine. Gettin a few intermitant codes that might suggest bad ecu or wiring.... Who diagnosed your fault for you? I can do any work needed just lookin someone with a good idea on these cars to tell me for sure what my problem is. Main symptom is intermitant misfire on cylinder 4. So far ive swapped the plugs, leads, coilpack, injectors, o2 sensor, replacement engine, ive done all i can think of. The annoying part is after each repair attempt it drives great for a while then goes back the way it was. Compression test shows no problems with engine. First engine was damaged though. Was told piston rings on cylinder 4 had cracked so my fear is the fault now killed one engine and may kill the replacement if not sorted.
There's a butterfly flap that opens with an electric motor turning a series of small plastic gears, when the ignition is turned on and closes when turned off. The ecu turns the power off 10 sec after the car is switched off, stopping the motor and a spring manually closes over the flap, it's housed within that section housing the plug is attracted to, stupid design means that the electronic motor keeps the pressure on the small plastic cogs even after the flap opens causing them to wear down and teeth to break off which is what that noise is, the great BKD engine
hi, what was reason for you needing a new ecu if you dont mind me asking?
xx_exclusivegamer_xx x hello there, the reason for removal was the instrument cluster had gone into error mode and wouldnt read any display, it was either hundreds of pounds to put it right and reprogramme the ecu and key or it was pay 100 for another ecu, with the same part number, instrument cluster with same part number and key from the same model and spec of mine and get the mileage corrected to what was on the original cluster, the key when put in the ignition is read by the ecu, the cluster is also read by the ecu and if one doesnt match then the car wont start, all to do with immobilisation and anti theft, hope that makes sense
cheers dude :)
do u know where the ignition control module is located i cant find it on my 2008 a3 diesel i need to change it my radio keeps turning off after an hour
have you ever had the radio out, or changed, your best bet is to find someone with vcds and get a scan done if you havent already, has it only started doing it
That's the throttle body, not egr
Good one my friend
Mant thanks Yonatan. great video that everyone needs to see. J
