Mission Statement/Purpose of the BDV group (Black Deaf Village) RUclips Channel:
My goal is build the black deaf community through education and empowering them on our BDV RUclips Channel to express anything they want , as long topics are gear toward black deaf and the black community. This site is about uplifting the black deaf community from young to the elderly. The word "Village" in the group refers to "It Takes A Village To Raise A Child", so BDV members and admins must accept the responsibility of educating the younger generation of our black deaf heritage and culture and be positive role models for them. This group will also educate allies and non-black deaf about black deaf history and black history in general.
This group also has a Facebook group (Black Deaf Village) which is geared toward black deaf and for black deaf members only, as a safe haven to talk about trigger point issues in the black deaf and black community.
