Green Acres was a great show, and very clever in its own twisted way. It was one of my favorites. What a pity it went out as a transparent shill for what was so obviously a pilot for some mediocre bit of awfulness. This thing was so pointlessly bland and inane that I finally have the answer to the at age old question - what show could possibly have been worse than Gilligan's Island or The Brady Bunch? Thank goodness it never made it into production. I wonder of Sherwood Schwartz had anything to do with this.
