Well said. We cannot hold non-Christian’s to the standards set for the Christian. And we cannot condemn a non believer for not following the rules and laws that are given for the believer. Don’t try and change people, just lead them to Jesus and let him change them to how he wants them to be. Our job is to love them enough to bring them to him.

You're losing the arguments on the actual Bible verses as more younger Christians are going to the Word for themselves, so the only thing you can do now is weaponize marriage because there is no actual Scripture on it to refute.

1:11:11 Death refers to death of the spirit. The walking dead - that is us. Jesus came to bring the dead back to life NOW. Bring YOU back to life, right now, because we are already spiritually dead. 105 is too young? Yes. If you are 105 and your spirit is still dead before the flesh dies, that is incredibly sad. But death of the flesh isn't the enemy. Death of the spirit is the enemy.

Praise Jesus, but I think we focus too much on the 'rules' or theology around sin and not enough on the spirit of God's love, forgiveness, and mercy sometimes. We don't need a narrative shell game to receive that love with whole hearts. Because when we really look at it, the story as told is of an abusive, manipulative father. "I made you, Adam and Eve, but I put this thing here to tempt you. Oh no, you were tempted... now get out of my garden." Then: "I shall redeem you by my son dying for the sin that you committed because I put you into a situation where that would be likely, because of how I made you." Dad puts a cookie on the counter, Eve steals it because she's a child and that's what children do. She and Adam are kicked out of the house. Generations later, Grandpa tells the children of Adam and Eve that his son will die to redeem them of their ancestor's error and that they can come home if... Listen, if my parent, or anybody, pulled anything like this with me, they would be out of my life. This narrative would have never converted me - it would have pushed me away in disgust. It did, in fact, for many years. There's a historicity and mythology in the bible that needs to be disentangled from direct spiritual experience and communion. Which much respect to the great amount of wisdom in the bible, I would go so far as to say words on a page mean nothing compared to a word in the heart. In my own direct experience, God is not like this... and I'm sure many in our congregation and around the world could say the same. God is love, god is good. We project too much of our own idea of fatherhood onto him, and we have for thousands of years, resulting in stories like this. But we have fallible fathers, sometimes toxic and abusive fathers, and that's what we've so often projected onto him throughout the ages. But God is not our father... he is The Father, and he is perfect in love and mercy, compassion and forgiveness, acceptance and wholeness.
