Quick Tip on the Sizes of Outside Gutter Corners and Where to Buy Them
I found there are multiple sizes of outside corners (outside box miters). This video shows two common sizes, how to measure them, and where you can buy them (Home Depot/Lowes or Menards)

Using a Hart Buffer and Ryobi Cordless Drill to Clean the Outside of Gutters
Просмотров 2383 года назад
Cleaning the outside of gutters can be a big boost to your home's curb appeal but it is difficult to do by hand. I bought a Hart polishing set at Walmart and attached the buffing bonnet, using the included arbor, to my Ryobi cordless drill. Then, I cleaned a few sections of the exterior of my gutters as a demonstration.
How to Use a Robotic Arm For Home Dusting Demonstration
Просмотров 663 года назад
I use an Adeept robotic arm kit with a cotton ball mounted on the tip to try to dust a small section of dirty baseboard heating in my home. The arm cleans the baseboards by going to different points and sweeping the dust away. I show how the cotton ball is attached and how I used Arduino code to control the movement of the robotic arm.
How to Program a Two Degree of Freedom (DOF) Robotic Arm to Hit an Aim Point
Просмотров 5123 года назад
In this video, I pick an aim point that I want the tip of a two degree of freedom (DOF) robotic arm to touch. Then, based on that point, I use geometry and algebra, including the Pythagorean Theorem, sine function, and Quadratic Equation to calculate the angles needed to reach the aim point. I then use Arduino code to command the servo motors to the calculated angles. The robotic arm used, came...
How to Control an Adeept Robotic Arm Using Arduino Computer Code

I explain my computer code, which uses loops and for statement logic, to control the motion of the servos on the Adeept Arduino Robotic Arm. I also show what software downloads are required to use the Adeept Arduino Robotic Arm. The code controls the angular distance that each servo travels as well as the speed.
Ridgid Gutter Cleaning Accessory Kit for Wet/Dry Shop Vac Review
Просмотров 65 тыс.3 года назад
I demonstrate this accessory kit; specifically the plastic leaf sucking elbow with plastic piping; connected to a 14 gallon Ridgid wet/dry shop vacuum. I clean leaves from a section of gutters on my home. The plastic piping and elbow allow you to stand on the ground, while sucking leaves and debris from gutters. The video shows the setup of the kit as well as the performance in cleaning gutters.
Gutter Sense Gutter Cleaning Tongs Cleaning Gutters From the Ground (No Ladder) Improved
Просмотров 2 тыс.3 года назад
In this video, I use Gutter Sense gutter cleaning tongs mounted atop a telescoping Doca Pole to clean my gutters. To aid in the process, I also mounted my Fuji XP140 camera atop the pole and viewed the footage, using blue tooth, on my LG cell phone mounted on my wrist in real time. This made the process much easier than in previous videos where I demonstrate the tongs
How to Assemble an Adeept Arduino Pencil Writing Robotic Arm

In this video, I open the box on an Adeept Arduino Robotic Arm Kit and assemble it to the pencil writing robot arm application. I also recommend Adeept's assembly video: www.adeept.com/video/detail-81.html At the end, I use the knobs on the driver to demonstrate the arm's movement. I hope to make a future video, where I move the arm using Arduino code control
Hacking Gutter Sense Gutter Cleaning Tongs to Hang Christmas Lights on Gutters Without a Ladder
Просмотров 3633 года назад
In this video, I modify Gutter Sense gutter cleaning tongs, so they can hold New Traditions Christmas light holding clips. With the modified tongs attached to a telescoping Doca Pole, I hang strings of Christmas lights on my gutters while standing on the ground (no ladder)
How to Clean Gutters Without Leaving the Ground (No Ladder Required)

Ladder falls are one of the leading causes of accidental death. Using gutter cleaning tongs and a telescoping pole, gutters and downspouts can be cleaned without ever leaving the ground. If you are unfamiliar with these tools, then your cleaning could be ineffective or overly time consuming. This video goes through the process of checking gutters, cleaning them, checking the work, and flushing ...

I got the same set up but I would like to get that mirror. Did you make if or does someone sell them.
woow nice
Thank you for this video
Keep up the good work ❤
how can i buy online
That vacuum has to have some power to reach a second story gutter.
thanks for the video! this was very informative
ruclips.net/user/shortsNqjiigUdy5k?si=JFr2S6fu8a75owlW The tongs help my business. I’m sure they’ll help yours.
Too bad it isn't battery operated for better mobility so not having to lug an extension cord around the house
You got dang valleys too
Is it safe to vacuum snow?
Where u get the mirror and pole?
Thank you.
If you drive a Toyota do you call it a Ford because Ford made the first car? Ridgid is not a Shop Vac.
Great video, I ordered the same 14 gallon shop vac, and gutter cleaning kit, I don't think I'll need the extensions my roof is pretty low
Both of you called the Ridged wet/dry vac a Shop Va.c.
@@HRTsAFyre honestly, I'm sure majority of people that have them call it that
Thanks for the video. Where can I get such an inspection mirror? Thank you
Never thought about ahop vaccin my gutters, but i have been shopping for the gutter attachment for my leaf blowers. I like vacuum idea more now that i saw this. Thanks 👍
This is great
Thanks for interesting video. 👍 Q: Near the battery side is a small switch, named "Upload" Do you know the function of that switch? I can upload code, regardless of the position of that switch. Thanks and greetings.

The ladder looks like it would be faster
I purchased this gutter cleaning system along with a Rigid 16 gallon 6.5 HP stainless vac. It works great! No more ladders for me. I later added a 13 foot extension tubing as I like the added reach from the vac and its easier to store than the 20 foot extension. My home is only one story high. I don't know how this would all work out on a two or three story house. It would be a hand full. Where did you get your curved mirror?
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Is this set up heavy?
Link to where this can be purchased? Please.
Spends most of the time talking about doing it instead of just doing the work
Wonderful video! I'm going to buy this Rigid system thanks!
This is what MacGyver does in his spare time
I don't have a shop vac yet. Can anyone recommend one which would be good for this job. I'm planning on getting one for this, and keeping the crawlspace clean.
The home depot sells the ridgid brand. The foam filter is for water vacuuming and the paper for dry.The filters are expensive, especially for very fine dust vacuuming but it's a small price to pay so those particles don't get in you lungs.
Thanks 🤗
Can that work on a two story house?
I don't see why not. Worst case you can always buy some pvc pipes as additional extension
is ur cable tv cable in ur gutter?
Hay guy, I like what you did. I have a shopvac and I am going to try it your way. PS: I live in a two story home so, I have professional gutter cleaners come out every two years to get the higher parts of my house. Thank you very much for this idea.
What kind of watch is that you have on?
Love your idea it helped. made it cheap 💡
Thanks for the tour. For cleaning the whole gutter those look kind of tedious but they might just do the trick for getting balls of pine needles out of the downspout openings up there.Thats the thing I always run into. Made a thing to reach up there with my shop vac and it doesnt work... the needles let too much air through for it to suck them up. As for blowing them out, they have this odd way of entangling into each other and onto the gutter mounting spikes, and the air blows through the matts yet again. Maybe this will work. Getting to old to to this with my hands.
Hook to back of ridid and blow out the gutter downspouts
My gutter tubs keep coming unscrewed so I used self tapping screws, works great.
Thanks for the video. Where did you get the inspection mirror?
Please let us know about the mirror.
Got my kit and love it. Glad you made your video. I also figured out how to connect it to my 36 volt Makita blower. What a rig!!!
Yeah well that tool looks useless. Just cut some sheet metal & tape it to a stick as a miniature shovel to fit the spouting.
It’s useless the way he is showing it being used. I use it for removing the bulk of the leaves in the gutters, we get so much rain in Georgia, the rain flowing in the gutter will flush out the debris under the spike, given than the bulk of the leaves in the main channel have been removed by the gutter sense. Put simply, go for the low hanging fruit of the leaves in the main part of the gutter, between the spikes. If a person is lazy though, they should probably hire a professional.
PS I have an action camera will mount it on the unit to see where I am going.
I have one kit coming from Home Depot. I chose the system because it will have a larger ID than the plumbing ideas and weigh a whole lot less. I will also buy an adapter to attach it to my Makita 36v blower. Thanks for the video
Thx for videos. Helpful. You should set yourself up with amazon links to take us to products and you get credit. Appreciate your help. QUESTION.: I bought an attachment for Ego leaf blower and find it cumbersome and doesn't clean the muck that develops. It might be helpful if you use it often and when you first notice leaves. Sort of frustrated. Trying to not climb on a ladder. Have you tried those? Curious. Thx!
Thank you for this video
What filter are you using for this?
Looks like the regular filter in the vac. I’ve heard people say they take the filter out to do this job, but I would not recommend that. Just check the filter frequently. I have two filters so that I can vacuum one off while fresh one is inside the machine. When that one gets a little to clog they take it out put in the one I vacuumed out and clean that one.
@@justmejo9008 isn't vacuuming a filter using another filter just moves dirt from one to another? I'd just use my blower on the one I need to clean
@@huinyavaina I vacuum it with the house vac myself.. after that I wash and let it dry
I’ve seen people use two cell phones to look in the gutter. Mount one to the pole and mirror the screen on the other.
I zip tied a hand mirror to the end of a piece of pvc tubing and made what looks like a dental inspection mirror for the jolly green giant. Thats how I check the gutters without getting a ladder to look up there.
If it’s too flimsy you could tape a couple joints of conduit to the outside of the pipe to stiffen it up.
That method of gutter cleaning is the slowest I've ever seen. I would rate it as a fail for commercial use.
I have a gutter sense and I don’t think it was designed for commercial use in mind. My gutters are at 24 feet with a giant oak hanging over it. I use this once a year to remove the bulk of the leaves, not all of them, but enough to let the water run clear down the drain spouts.
Did you have a filter on your vac or did you remove prior to the job?
Great idea. Those 2 extra extension pieces you bought are 20.5" long each. So you added 41" to the existing gutter cleaning kit? How many feet high up do you estimate you can reach with your setup in the video?
