Awesome ! Thanks for showing.
Real nice! Than you for showing!
Excellent work !!!! Thank you !
Your favorite quarterback wanted to be Dan Marino. Enough said.
WOW,I knew Marino was up there when he retired for a lot of wins but he actually retired with THE most wins for a QB in NFL history?!?!I figured top5-10 cuz Marinos Fins did have like 10 playoff appearances, but that makes it even crazier that he couldn't not only WIN a SB but even get back to the game!?!?
'Promo sm' ✌️
Cool!
That’s all he ever was. A passer. Never a true leader. Never a winner. A great player makes average players winners.
Retired #2 in wins
12:27 you're welcome.
Accuracy , he's the best. Long distance so-so, ...non of his throws made past 50ish yards
?
@@richardrobinson9815 Yes, his arm strength wasn't nearly as strong as what most fans think. Good enough, no doubt, just not a Bradshaw type cannon.
Pure passer. That's Marino. I loved this guy.
He's the best Quarter Back of all time! This is the proof.
When Joe Robbie Stadium was brand new. Yes it is still Joe Robbie to ne.
I still call it Pro Player Stadium
'81-'85 were good years. "woodstrock" carried us until Danny boy arrived (1983). 86-89 were frustrating. Then we're rediscovered ourselves (1990-1994) Dan's other great years.
I remember going to many games back then in the old Orange Bowl, it wasn't like today's stadiums and had many issues but it had character and was a loud place to play. Great memories and Rip David Woodley you left us way too soon 🙏🏈
umm Bernie got on the rioght boat😎
I went to 4 dolphins home games in 1980 and had an intestinal issue and passed gas the entire game and people around me got upset but I did not care and had to pass gas so I did
I can watch him throw that football all day! Man was he fun to watch! The greatest ever to throw that ball!
very courages old college try team. there are times the brides maid should be recognized. in 2023 i still cry for them.
It was one of two losing seasons in 33 years for Don Shula. They were 6-10. I love the NFL films hype/fluff/propaganda. The defense was terrible, they couldn’t run the ball. Marino had 28 TD passes but 23 INTs still DM had more TD passes than INTs in his first 13 seasons in the league (83-95) which might still be an NFL record. They couldn’t run the ball. In 1989, they would start 7-4 and finish 8-8 but in 1990 would win 12 and a WC game. I was in Miami for the Jets game where Marino threw for 521 yards but he had 5 INTs and 2 returned for TDs by rookie cornerback Erik McMillan. I remember the Marino/ Ken OBRIEN duels being epic in the mid to late 80s
Marino always threw more TDs than INTs, only his last year when he was washed he threw more picks
WORST PHIN defense EVER.
Agreed!
1986?
1988@@Fireyninjadog
All those years with Marino and no more Super Bowl appearances
In the win over the Patriots at the Orange Bowl in Miami, the breaking news came on the announcement of the tragic death of John Lennon of the Beatles. The last game of the 1980 season was played against the Jets--without TV announcers!
Only 7 sacks allowed all year
I move from Miami in 1987 too Philadelphia. One city laid-back, one full of intensity❤️❤️
Dan the man
I was eleven years old in '82. This video brings back great memories 😉😉😉🤠🤠🤠
They score 35 and still lose 38-35 in Miami to the Bills. Reminds me of this year's playoff loss.
Richard Todd was good at losing to the Dolphins.
Still the Redskins won.
ᵖʳᵒᵐᵒˢᵐ
It’s Jumbo singing!
One of my favorite Seahawk games ever. They had beaten Raiders twice. 38-36/-34/21. Last time Dolphins beat Raiders Dec-1978. Raiders had clobbered Dolphins 27-14 Sept-1983. Was not even that close.
next year fins smacked em. and also won playoff game in kingdome years later
The second throw is amazing in itself: a 30-yard laser right into the bullseye. The last one though, my Goodness! That's not a bomb, it's a 50-yard frozen rope. Ball never goes higher than what, 18 - 20 feet? There's not a single QB in the history of the sport that could make those 50+ yard throws putting so little air under the ball. Maybe Elway. Maybe. Marino's right arm was a friggin' rocket launcher.
He’s hitting some small windows very far down field. I remember watching this on TV when it went down. I’m a jets fan but I had respect for Marino.
I was there a week ago. I love that place. New subscriber.
Onside punt!!
The Dolphins had the Bills number in the 70s beating them 20 straight times in fact from 1970-1986 the Dolphins won 30 of of 33 over the Bills in 17 years including a stretch where the Dolphins beat the Bills 16 straight times at the Orange Bowl between 1967-1982.
Buffalo returned the favor going 17-4 in the next twenty-one games against Miami, including 3-0 in the postseason
DeBerg woulda won if his left hand was splinted...
Don’t know why but I always liked David Woodley. Perhaps because I just like those early 80’s teams and the Woodstrock era.
That's Woodstrock
@@michaelleroy9281 thanks for pointing out my typo
Woodley never fulfilled his Potential in Miami , he ran out of time with the drafting of Marino, he did some good things but he was always looking over his shoulder with Strock .
Woodstrock was the closest that an NFL team ever got to using an MLB type relief pitcher in managing quarterback play. I just have a special place in my heart for those early 80’s teams before the Marino era began.
@@stew6662 Don Strock should have taken the reigns after Griese, but he threw too much for Shula's liking. This made the transition to Marino much easier for the run-oriented super bowl coach
I remember that 35-14 win over the Rams as the first game I really paid attention to. I was eight, and until that point football was kind of an abstract idea for me. Since that one, though, I've lived and died aqua and orange.
If your ever in Kissimmee Florida ( I live 10 minutes from Disney World). My phone 📞 number is in my ABOUT page. ( PS I’m originally from Chicago----GO CUBS!
Very nice----Thank you---Keep Shooting!
Second throw is why he’s still talked about after all these years. Dude had a pinpoint accurate cannon
Yeah coach jimmy johnson screwed up Marino in his last years, johnson was a running game loving coach and up to this day i still hate him.who would not use the accuracy of the all time greatest qb? Marino hall of fame legend!
Blah, Johnson was building a team around Marino , you wanted him to copy Shula who lived or died on Marino arm .
LOL. I still remember Marino hitting that bulls eye to beat Deberg.
Marino is in the HOF. Why isn't Clayton or Duper? There are other recievers with lower stats who are in the HOF. If you go look up the stats, you find examples of this. 1 in particular I remember is James Lofton being in the HOF yet Clayton has more TDs and yards I think. It's a rip-off man.
I agree Harold Carmichael is in the Hall of Fame but not Clayton look at the stats
And all those years (decades) that Marino to Clayton held the record for Tandem TDs. Points scored. And they are still 5th all time.
Because they were nothing without Marino whereas Marino put up consistently good to great numbers regardless of his receiving corps
Look how long it took Zach to get in.
@@addmarx7207Different era, the numbers HC put up in the early 70s werent as common. Dont get me wrong, im a fan of both Clayton & Duper! It hurts those guys that they only went to 1 super bowl and lost. I think if they had won it, Clayton might be in.
The Best QB I’ve ever seen throw a football….Period.
I just posted on another video that I wish these competitions were more competitive. I had never seen this this is exactly what I was talking about. I can't believe I had never seen this!
The Dolphins always beat NFC teams back then. The 1980 Dolphins were 8-8 but 4-0 vs the NFC. The 35-14 win vs Rams in LA was at the time one of the biggest upsets ever.
They were a 10 point dog. I won big on that game! Nice to see Joe Robbie Rip and thanks for the Dolphins
One of the biggest upsets ever at that time??? There were a handful of games that season that were bigger upsets than that. Jets over Falcons, Giants over Cowboys, Cardinals over Eagles
Jamees.excellent video-work!see ya!. 😌
A team could be up 3 TDs in a game and Miami was never out of it because of DM.
