Welcome to AZ Dragon Fruit! Join me for tours of my plants and cuttings, grafting, pollenating, and fruit growing and tasting. This channel is dedicated to all things dragon fruit and my journey to cultivating a dragon fruit jungle.

How to induce flowering?
Make sure the plant gets enough sunlight during the day
You can also move your plant into a greenhouse in order to create the optimal conditions
Prune any damaged stems or branches from the plant. This will help the plant focus its nutrients and the needed energy on growing the flowers
Make sure the temperatures are above 65 degrees (18c). If the temperatures are lower this might decrease the chances of a flower dragon fruit
Make sure the fruit has enough moisture! Although it’s a cactus, the soil needs to be kept consistently moist
To encourage fruiting, make sure that plant has enough support to climb on

It seems like the bottom of my dragons are getting squishy vs the plump firm they were when I first got them ? Any ideas I water once a week with 6.5 ph to water with cal mg added back in. I use compost free soil mix any ideas ?? Thank you

@@mumtazkareem134 I always use chicken manure. I add the chicken manure in the winter and in the summer I add the chicken manure in the water and I water the dragon fruit after 2 to 3 days. I use the chicken manure water in the summertime.

One of my plants has a lot of flowers and the branches before they were very thick but now they look thinner. With what can i water the plant for thicker leaves ? I was going to give fish emulsion
@@martinbajjada4344 that’s normal. Some variety happened. You need to reduce the flower in this case. Just keep one good flower in each brunch.

I'm from Moscow and I'm trying to grow them since December 2022. Go ahead! If you live in an apartment, provide them with good illumination and they should feel just fine. From RUclips I know one guy from Minnesota and another one from Dublin who grow them in similar conditions, not to mention people who grow them in year-round greenhouses

Alway cross pollinate sugar dragon for better size fruit 😉☺️keep up the great work. I think I may be like you can throw away any cutting and attempting to grow in smaller pots 😉hope to one day fill my back yard 1/2 acre with Dragons 😉☺️😬
