Lame
yeah it was lame, the story was mediocre, the jokes were ehh, and it just felt long and dragged on, its a far cry from the greatness of the first two
We appreciate all points of views! Thanks for watching!
they shouldve given context as to why the USA were the baddies. we had no one to root for. i thought it was gonna be a war movie from the journalist part. it had too many filler scenes. LITERALLY EVERY WAR SCENE WAS IN THE TRAILER
I can definitely agree that the film was sold as one thing and we got something else. In some ways I feel like that hindered the film and why I couldn’t really call it a great movie but it also really centered the story on the war journalism aspect of the movie. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
From interview with the film director.. he said avoided the movie to represent which side is whom. Both warring parties wear the same military uniform, not mentioning about R or D, Blue or Red.. None.. The context of the movie is that Southern States in which they used TX and CA were already taken over by the South American countries... where they clearly depict Pres in the DC is the last standing old United States. Western Front aka WF are basically rebellions and do not represent the 'old' USofA. Which that scene the ragtag republic sympathizers guy in Elton John shades - asked a very simple question... "where are you from? Oh HongKong... thats China!" boo, go meet Jesus on the spot. The movie does not mention anything about South American invaders.. Russians, nor any Middle Eastern war of today... But that if you said 'China'... Kapow you are dead! It not even about the evil 'Communist' China.. the guy got shot... is not at war.. he does not have any weapons on him.. he is a journalist like any color skins of the planet earth. SO... movie director ploy is very clear. He is is anti-black, mocks LGBTQ and hates anything about China. -- That's the whole message of the movie --
I think the, Hong Kong, China moment doesn't make much sense to a U.S civil war. I just took it that the rouge soldiers where alluding to an SS Nazi style of pure blood American and anything else gets executed - I think it's just for some shock factor nothing much more.
@@richrichie378 True... its absolutely have nothing to do with the US Civil War... but the point is that the movie producer/director is directing the hatred. If they didnt brag about being neutral, then the image would be totally different. But they bragged that they kept them away from any nation or class or sides for his movie. But he has to inject hatred to a single nationality,
Interesting thoughts on both ends. For me I do not see it as the director having any sort of ploy against one group or another. In fact I see it as they were quite obviously trying to avoid that. Which in some ways hindered the film due to how they marketed it and what people may have been expecting, but in another way it really made the war journalism aspect the center of the film. I will say the china scene does stray from that thought. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
@@thereelbreakdown2658 Yes.. you are absolutely correct. The movie is not about "Liberal" or anything... But they do made it very clear that you are not a "real" American you are dead... Avoided to portray anything of the mainstream media news identified as 'axis'. But if your reply incorrectly.. you should be 'KILLED'. How do they define to be real American? Have to be born here in the USA? Have to be an American Citizen? Have to have 99% of certain DNA type? Of course the film producer didnt clarify and went to that route... like they claimed its not their intention to takes any side which contradicts how they directed the movie. Plus the movie should be actually titled as "War Journalism" if they wanted to show life of journalists.
I have cut short many civil war reviews in 20 seconds because most people don't get to the point ....
Thanks for watching and sharing the feedback!
Did Hope's Wasp fly through and blast those Kang's spaceships, similar to what Captain Marvel did in Endgame?
You know I wasn’t sure…but I just went and checked and yes she did haha.
@@thereelbreakdown2658 They never explained how she did it but she did, perhaps she can fly really fast and use her blaster and body like a projectile. They need to explore that more in details on how she did it for the audience.
Yeah I can agree that it would have been nice to have some insight into that. It kind of seems like they just want us to not think about it.
When the book was written, he wanted to show the dangers of following religious leaders and political leaders in a cool story. The Jim Jones Kool aid thing recently happened. Watergate, Nixon, and the Vietnam war
Oh interesting! That’s really cool insight and I can definitely see that in the movie now with a second viewing. I didn’t know that, thanks for sharing and watching!
Great review bro , thx :)
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching!
some of it broke from major parts of book
That’s what I’ve heard! I’d be interested to hear what the changes from the book to the movie were without spoiling the remainder of the story. Thanks for watching!
my exact same thoughts
Glad to hear you felt the same! Thanks for watching!
it was so good and the actors were so good
I’m glad you enjoyed it!! Definitely wish I would have liked it as much!
@@thereelbreakdown2658ya i thought it was so fun to watch and it was so funny. Also Renee was SOOO good as Regina, plus her singing was amazing. I’m watching it again this wknd
I saw this movie today, and i think this is a 100 year old masterpiece. It was so emotional. And i don't care what rotten tomatoes said.
I hope you're right! I'm going to see it this weekend and am a little wary because most reviews say it's disappointing, mediocre etc. But some people including critics said similar things about The Super Mario Bros. Movie and yet I loved it enough to go see it not once, not even twice, but three times in a theater, which I had never done before, despite not really being a Mario fan prior to watching it. So I still have some hope that maybe I'll enjoy Wish too.
Hey! Thanks for watching! So glad you were able to enjoy it much more than I did. I think if the emotion would have hit me more like it did for you I would have definitely liked it way more! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
I have to agree with the Mario Bros point, I had a good time with it! Film is subjective so it's always good to go into it willing to make your own opinion. I hope you enjoy the film! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
@@thereelbreakdown2658 I saw Wish today. If the story and the characters were a little more developed it would really be a great movie but it's still good and perfectly enjoyable. Made me smile a lot throughout, kept me invested and left me feeling all warm and fuzzy on the inside. It didn't quite move me to tears like Encanto did but not every movie has to be that level of emotional LOL Overall, I think it did a good job as a 100 year anniversary celebration movie, bridging the old and the new Disney.
I’m glad you enjoyed it! That’s a good point that not every movie needs to move you to that level. I’ll definitely have to do a rewatch once it becomes available on VOD. Thanks for the follow up!
Hey are you ever planning on reacting to the second season of Avatar the last Airbender?
Hey! Yes we do plan on doing it! Life has just gotten in the way and we did get shut down for a bit by RUclips for copyright strikes on our ATLA reactions. But we do have it planned!
Awesome Movies Ant-Man WASP Quantumania
Glad you enjoyed it just as much as we did!
Isn't it amazing that we are sitting here dissecting and contemplating the complexities of a storyline based on a comic book about a black superhero from an African country that is openly acknowledged as the most dominant and technologically advanced nation in this fictional world, and how the depth of the storyline explored the layers of grief and its numerous representations within the human psyche as it correlated to the cultural traditions and practices of multiple races all collectively trying to process fear, loss, and resurgence in both their fictional and actual lives?! (Suck it Martin S) what's even better is I'm watching two intellectual Latinos deep dive the entirety of this amazing feature displaying more insight, empathy and competency to the intricacies of storytelling and the challenges of honoring tradition, origin, evolution, and the reality of everything the charecters, actors, fans and family have had to endure in this journey! This interview was my Wakanda! Thank you both! 🇵🇷❤️
Hey! Thank you so much for the very thoughtful comment. We really appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. We agree that this movie just has so much to offer and so much to discuss. Which is what we love about movies and what great storytelling can do! Thanks for watching!
It's going to make two billion.
I hope so! When I filmed this it didn’t seem feasible. Now it seems like it definitely has a chance.
The film was garbage. Smart man.
Thanks for the comments! Such a disappointment for me tbh.
Expecting Too much can lead to so much disappointment 👌👎😂 The Movie was Great .. and ur review scks 😂😂⬇️⬇️ Maybe his favorite character easy died in da movie 👌🤣
Appreciate your point of view. I wish I could’ve liked it as much as you!
what would have happened if zhao had listened to the teachings of his master jeong jeong
It's necessarily long. I would not cut any of it. I rather like to watch those parts that Reeves took off. I find every detail of this movie amusing, the fact that the most of the time is nighttime makes much sense, Batman is out there every night, what can you tell about Batman during daytime? He is sleeping
That is very true! Great observations. I agree, he works best in the shadows! Glad you liked it as much as we did!
I was like wow, what did I just see! Robert Pattinson kills it he’s phenomenal period! He is Batman! Going again tomorrow just to take it in again! Omg, the cast the story and the look of Gotham! Loved it! Robert Pattinson is my favorite Batman! I didn’t feel the 3 hours at all because I was so in grossed the whole time! But great review! The hype is real!!! Don’t walk run and see The Batman!
Glad that you loved the movie as much as I did! Yes he’s is great as the Batman! And during my second viewing I definitely felt the 3 hours less! The hype is very real!
For me , eternals is the best MCU standalone film ! I loved the movie !
Glad you loved it! We did too!
I also saw it three times, what a masterpiece!!
Nice! Such a great film!!
Hey I just want to know when you guys are gonna react to the next episodes of Avatar The last Airbender?
There's a quick shot of Penguin (played by Colin Farrell) in the middle of the trailer -- he looks absolutely nothing like Colin Farrell.
Good eye! I can’t wait for this movie!
Hey I wanted to know when u guys will upload your next reactions to Avatar the last airbender? Thanks!!
Hey! Thanks for the question. Unfortunately due to a Copyright strike we received on avatar season 1 episode 19, We are on a 90 day probation period. So, to make sure we don’t risk a second and third strike we are pausing the avatar series until the probation is over in February. I am sorry for the delay and inconvenience but we are trying our best to work with RUclips and it’s guidelines to ensure our content can get out to you guys. Thank you for your patience.
Hey man thanks for the video, makes me feel more comfortable going to see a movie next week
You’re welcome! I’m glad my video was able to make you feel better about it! Enjoy!
BEST SHOW OF ALL TIME i wish i can see your first reactions to this show lol not this
Hi thanks for the feedback! Yes we wish we could give you our first reactions too. However we have seen this show well over 5 times. But we agree it is our favorite of all time!
did you guys already watch this show??
Hi! Yes we have! This is a rewatch of our favorite show!! Enjoy!
Badass uncle Iroh time Hell yeah 😁
This is probably one of the worst episodes of avatar
I would say it’s definitely not one of the better ones! Keep an eye out for some of our not so favorite episodes. Coming soon!
Iroh is the best He's my favorite character even back in first Season
Agreed! Iroh is one of our favs! His character just gets better and better as the seasons progress! Stay tuned!
Keep up
Hello! Not sure if you’re referring to the timeframe of when we drop new episodes. But we do drop each episode on Wednesdays! Keep an eye out for the next one!
Count how many times I say culture 💀
I think you mean "colture" 😂
Haha I look so tired here! 😂
The Tale of Momo is so sad. People forget about that moment because of the *other* thing that happened in that episode, but it's heartbraking to see Momo desperately searching for Appa on his own. The animal pets in Avatar are not just for show, but they are actual characters, which is not something we see in other shows.
I agree with you on the Tale of Momo for sure. Such a good episode! Can’t wait to review it. And yes Momo and Appa do play bigger roles than pets in other shows.
Ey yooo
Is this your first time watching avatar?
Hi! No it’s not. We’re big fans of Avatar the Last Airbender and therefore are doing this rewatch to show our appreciation and thoughts of each episode!
nice work
"You know who we are" ? ? No I don't. Nobody does.
Haha good point! I encourage you to check out the rest of the channel to see our other work! Thanks!
LOVE THIS AND LOVE YOUR INTRO
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
it’s getting oscar buzz for his performance!!
So I hear! Hoping it’s that good!
The Reel Breakdown dude you and me both!!
I’ve been reading up and one insider at the film festival it’s gonna be playing at said it is terrific which is why it is one of their feature films to debut on the main stage
i keep forgetting this movie is coming out haha the hype isn’t really all there for me this time around
Yeah I see what you’re saying. I think there are a lot of fans are still feeling mixed due to the last few movies
Alita ftw
The movie was trash dude. I cant put it in any other words. If you read the comics you would be insulted. If you watched the other movies you will find so many inconsistencies.
I appreciate your opinion on the film. I definitely think it’s not the best film in the MCU but I do see enough redeeming qualities to put it in the middle of the pack.
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
*😄 I’m so damn excited about this! I watched the trailer 20 times and there've been many things that I missed:* *1.* When you look at Peter's passport you can see he was born on August 10 but it doesn’t show what year so you don't know his exact age. *2.* Peter is also using Uncle Ben's suitcase with the initials “BFP” on it which is a nice emotional reference, it also underlines Parker’s ongoing poverty in having to use an old, battered case. *3.* There’s a ton of clues in this trailer that suggest Tony Stark might not survive Avengers 4: Endgame. For example, knowing that this movie starts a few minutes after Avenger: Endgame, there’s the shot where Peter looks sadly at his Spidey suit that Tony gave him. Then there’s the obviously absence of Robert Downey Jr. anywhere in the trailer combined with the line “you’re all alone” from Happy. Seeing as Happy is the Stark-Parker go between it seems likely he’s talking about Tony’s availability, as in, “he’s dead”. The trailer also reveals the return of Nick Fury but the fact that he’s now recruiting Peter begs the question: *_Why isn't Tony there to continue to be his mentor instead as he’s always been Parker’s go-to man?_* *4.* Is Mysterio using Doctor Strange-style magic? When Mysterio appears to fight Hydron/Hydro-Man his abilities appear to manifest via Doctor Strange like glyphs. There’s two possibilities here: Given that his classic comic history has him as a visual effects wizard turned con man villain, he could just be copying the effect and faking it all, including the Elementals themselves. Although given Nick Fury’s involvement it seems odd that he wouldn’t notice if it was being faked. The other option is that this version of Mysterio actually does have powers. When he first appears, he says “you don’t want any part of this” implying that he knows what ‘this’ is. Has he somehow created the Elementals? It’s worth noting, however, that in the MCU magic generally appears orange with only the time stone’s magic from the Eye of Agamotto appearing green. That would suggest Mysterio’s faking it. *5.* *THE SINISTER SIX may be the main villains, not The Elementals.* The Elementals had been said to be the enemies already with both Tom Holland and Jake Gyllenhaal mentioning them by name in interviews. This trailer would seem to confirm that with fire, earth, and water creatures visible, which would be Hellfire, Hydron, and Magnum respectively. Zephyr, the air elemental, isn’t immediately obvious in the trailer but could be the storm over Tower Bridge. However, comic book fans like me have noticed some interesting Easter eggs in the trailer. I collect many Spider-Man comics and in Venice there’s a boat with the number _“ASM 212"_ which could mean Amazing Spider-Man #212, which was the first comic book appearance of *HYDRO-MAN.* Then, when we see the earth/stone creature, the car number plate reads _"463"._ *SANDMAN* was introduced in Amazing Spider-Man #4, published in 1963. Finally, when people are running from danger in London, there’s a number plate that reads _"2865 SEP"_ and *MOLTEN-MAN* first appeared in Amazing Spider-Man #28, published in September 1965. Mysterio, Sandman, and Hydro-Man have all been members of *THE SINISTER SIX,* a rolling group of long time Spidey villains. Only Molten Man hasn’t been in the gang before, but seeing as membership largely revolves around wanting kill Spider-Man it doesn’t sound like a hard club to join. Plus, the end of Homecoming revealed the Vulture meeting Scorpion, which would round off the six nicely if both returned.
Wow, I appreciate your analysis and insight! Some of those things I noticed, others I didn’t. I like your theories about mysterio and I think your first theory is the right one. I also really enjoyed this trailer and has only gotten me more excited for what the movie will hold!
Gaming channel now?
Nah, just having a little fun with one of my favorite superheroes. I don’t game enough to make it a serious part of the channel. But I might do a review of the game’s story. Just for fun.
Well said 👍
