I can’t quite explain it but it looks like you’re riding on a piece of wood. No burst of power when you need it. No clutch control, no powerband, just useless power. looks heavy in the saddle. 2T enduro will always be on top. proper machinery for the job.
Hi! Unfortunately you are right with your description. On terrain with bad traction it is a disaster, I agree. When there is good traction bike is very easy to handle and yes you can have then burst of power (very strong and controllable). For me it is a 'no go', I do not think that even updated software options for enduro like traction control or whatever would help. Clutch is one thing, but I also missed 'gears' - one twist for all speeds so very strange wrist position while riding more than 20kph
@@abrdundefinitely would do best in open scenarios or mx nonetheless thank you for the video. Can really see how it does on technical terrain. They must be doing some type of enduro mapping for Taddy on his stark this year. Impressive technology but I’m not sold on it for a woods bike.
🇸🇪👍👋🙂
I hope Stark-Varg is working on some form of *electronic* clutch, that would mimic (emulate) the function of current mechanical clutches. This would allow instant and precise power modulation in low-traction situations such as wet, slimy rocks and logs. Maybe this would be an opportunity for some ambitious aftermarket supplier..?
We can see what is achievable on EM Escape X electric trial bikes - they are much more forward with development. But there is one more thing I was missing - the gears - one twist of the throttle for all speeds. So if I wanted to ride with constant fast speed I had to keep hand constantly with a awkwardly rotated wrist. I did not hear anyone else on YT complaining about it which is surprising for me
@@abrdun Interesting! I never thought of that advantage of gearing. What I can't picture is how to deal with the Varg on a true hard enduro absolutely f'd whiskey throttle. I NEED the clutch for a parachute in that situation.
Great vid. Lets see what comes out of the their work with Taddy. Hopefully a clutch but I don't think so. I don't see them reengineering the engine design at this point. I am sure there will be improvements for enduro.
Third person view , way better than onboard view 👍 Thanks. Hand rear brake ❤
thx! I did what I wanted to see myself. I was considering strongly to get a Varg as my next bike, but after a day with it I got to conclusion it is not what I wanted.
The back tire appears to break traction too much. Can it be controlled? I did not see you start up a steep hill. Was lack of traction the reason?
When bike looses traction (for example slippery rocks) - and you can see/hear it through all vid even on flat, rear wheel accelerates in an instant. On flat it will just throw rocks, but on an uphill it might turn bike sideways. It is somehow controllable, power delivery is very smooth, but there is no clutch to help it and no flywheel so when I closed the throttle bike just stops. I had it only once for only few hours so I could have changed mind of course. At this point I would not buy it for enduro. I also do not like one twist of the throttle for speed 0-100, then wrist has to be in uncomfortable twisted position while going fast, but that's another story.
The motor has a feed back encoder for basic speed control. Three phase motors need that for low end torque. Some PID software revision could put the bike in servo/enduro mode making it great for enduro. A soft electric "clutch" potentiometer could be added for control. @@abrdun
@@dougsmith5873 Yes, let's wait and see what they come up with. Geometry is ok, power is smooth so the bike has potential. I remember first videos from Stark when they showed app - there was several options including traction control and flywheel effect. At this moment it is only power and engine breaking. So it seems they are working on it, but maybe it is just not ready for release yet
how many hours does the battery last in this mode?
I cannot say, we had it only for a day, tried several modes and did not push it hard. It felt like it could be enough for a good training day on an enduro track, but not sure if it would handle 2-3h of competition speed.
Looks like a blast!
What tires are you using bud I have. 2024 trying to find a good winter set
Hi, whatever they have cheap on 24mx dot com. If you want best then look for Trelleborg (Mitas), they have more spikes
I love my 2012 500 exc. I always watch this video when I'm down it gets me back up thanks brother!!!!
thats a great bike !
You know that the snow is deep when the headlight is shining from below. My favorite winter dirt bike video, along with the most magical music.

nice video 💪💪💪👍👍😮
As someone who's never ridden a bike on snow, I am absolutely amazed that it was able to get through snow that deep, or that the engine even got air to breathe. Very cool.
Re-Posted this one on " Old Guys who ride dirt bikes".
Oh, that's so cool, thanks :)

Hi:) What is the top speed of Husqvarna Fe 250 completely stock?:) nice video!
Hi. No idea, but it is definitely not a bike for long fast trails or commuting
@@abrdun okey thx a lot:)
@@HardcoreWeeaboowhen stock the bike bogs in overdrive 6th at 145kmph but if you modify the gears(For more torque oddly) you can easily make it to 170kmph in farmfields and stuff
Hej, Jag är nyfiken på svårighetsgraden på silver klasssen, jag har åkt brons men är sugen på silver, därav frågan. =)
Hi there . The difference is huge. Me and my friend were both riding KTM 500. It is NOT a bike for RBR, but just want to say that we had same bikes. He rode bronze class - he was very tired after 4 days but he finished. We ride/train a lot together and I would say we have similar skills, but I had much better condition and was much more prepared for RBR. And I was completely destroyed in silver class. In general I could do all stuff, but it is all the time hard, no end of hardcore and all in all I was DSQ two days and that was my end. So if you want to go Silver you must be close to top 10 on bronze, have skills and condition, otherwise you have no chance at all. I will be back on Silver one day, but definitely need 2-3 years more trainings... Hope it helps :)
Snowman !
Can you able finish the race?
I was on KTM500. No chance!
Just Out for a Rip there bud! Amazing video couldn't stop smiling the entire time
Thank you my Friend 💪💪✌🍀🎄🎄🎄
this is so awesome and satisfying
Thanks. Romania still has this "wilderness"
can this bike trail hop 70mph to get to the next trail? say klike 20 mins going 70
I found answer for you ruclips.net/video/ydjGgCHD_jY/видео.html - I think I would still go with a 350, fast, stable, more power on bottom, less reving
@@abrdun i supermoto the fe250 with a few mods my bike makes it to 170kmph top speed. being a six gear bike with an overdrive it is great all around.
where was that shot
Norway. Sorry, I am not checking what is happening here too often :)

loooooove this!! KTM for life
That bike acts like it’s in two wheel drive
yea without studded tires the snow and ice sucks lol

this is so cool. i wish the rivers here in the philippines could also freeze LOL
no, you just have to ride fast enough :)))
This is awesome. Thanks for posting.
Niceone... 😍👍
You need to shift your body position forward, looks like the bike is controlling you,I would suggest taking some riding lessons and more beginner friendly bike, like a ttr230 or crf230,easier to control and you won't be all over the place.
urungutang. LOL!
why would you put your body position forward when going up hill....shouldnt you balance it between rear and front depending on traction feel.
