Use strongest hcl available... 1 liter hcl and use millilitres of nitric. Very little nitric with a lot of hcl

If you have gold in solution, dissolved into the acid, and you add ENOUGH SMB to neutralize the solution, your gold will drop. Also, dilute your gold bearing solution 50/50 with distilled water helps. Gold does not like to be dissolved... cold temps and low acidity, gold will precipitate

There's 3 sets of tumblers, square tubes with the ends sealed, bolted to the inside. Rocks are coming out nice and clean. The vast majority of the clay is getting broke down to nothing as well.

The chlorine is reacting with the gold to put au into solution. When the gold is dropped with smb the bond between gold and chlorine is broken. Where the chlorine goes from there, I don't know. I make sure don't breath anything just to be safe. Use fan to create draft and stay upwind of the experiment... best bet though is don't try this. It's VERY DANGEROUS AND POSSIBLY LETHAL. Experiments may explode for various unforeseen reasons releasing toxic gases and causing debilitating injuries.

Sorry for my delayed response... the solution I used to drop the gold powder out of solution is sodium metabisulfite dissolved in distilled water.

Im very much a novice at refining and chemistry like this. Im not completely sure about the ratios and many other technical aspects. The best advice I can give you is don't do this. I had a heated experiment of acid explode on me... hot acids and deadly gases are created during these procedures and when things go wrong you can lose your face and be lucky to have not lost your life. Don't mess with this stuff if you don't already KNOW what you are doing.

Atv addiction oh i know! I've had a couple atvs and off road toys over the years. My last one was a Yamaha banshee that i had traded for a much newer Kawasaki ninja zx1200r street bike.
