Fixing the Egt sensor on my Audi B5 S4.

Replacing the circuit board for one of the Egt sensors on my B5 S4. I did the other one a few days ago. I didn't want to spend 900 dollars on new sensors so figured I'd try this before just deleting them. If you are interested in buying a circuit board for yourself email sidaudis4@gmail.com I paid about 100 USD for 2 circuit boards. The seller is from Poland, shipping took about two weeks for m...

    The clunk in the shocks is them extending too far and the spring dividers are trash. That’s why schmiditys racing suspension made new ones for the pro r

    • @NateK77777
      @NateK77777 Месяц назад

      Even with the limit straps, it clunks. I may have to try new spring dividers.

    • @ProRGarage
      @ProRGarage Месяц назад

      @@NateK77777 the straps will make a sound when they are forced into full extension is that maybe the sound?

    • @NateK77777
      @NateK77777 Месяц назад

      It's definitely possible, but the clunk happens most when hitting a sharp bump, like a rut in the road. Not as much when shocks get extended to limit. Also, it is the same sound I was chasing before all the upgrades. Spring dividers are the only things that didn't change. And looking at them, they don't look very straight on the shock body.. Springs may not be clocked, right?

    Besides the piston size. What info did you have to give to the machine shop, before bore/hone/deck of the engine?

    • @NateK77777
      @NateK77777 Год назад

      Piston to wall clearance. Some shops want to know what Ring material is used.or what the engine is being used for. Turbo or na. i just dropped off the pistons with the block. If the shop is unfamiliar with whatever engine you're getting machined, I'd recommend giving them the stock engine specs.

    Doesn't sanding the piston tops remove the special heat protective coating designed to keep the piston from overheating ?

    • @NateK77777
      @NateK77777 Год назад

      If the piston is coated then yes it would affect/remove it. The pistons I used were not coated.

    When I did my lapping of the valves,I totally forgot to check the seating with a light. Thanks for reminding me bro, good thing I haven't assemble the head yet.

    • @NateK77777
      @NateK77777 Год назад

      yeah that would have been a bummer. I found that sometimes i could not get the light to shine through even though i knew there was a gap. if you run into that problem, you could just set all the valve into the head then fill the cc with water and check for leaks in the ports.
