historic. in today's standard, the sound sucked. But compared to 1930 it wasn't too bad. It was a pretty raw version, but so great to hear due to the context.

My dad grew up in Hazel Park MI a stones throw from the old Olympia. He saw many Red Wings games there over the years we were talking about the Beatles today and he brought up the old Olympia.

My favorite Beatles song, but what an absolutely awful performance.

Apple/Calderstone Productions Limited missed a huge trick here when the Revolver Super Deluxe Edition was released. They should have added a Blu-Ray DVD to include all of the Abbey Road and Chiswick House promotional films/videos. Then these would have been out in the open and no You Tube deleting any unseen material.

This video is ample proof the Beatles would sometimes tune down their instruments half a step. For this first performance in Japan, George Harrison has the capo on the 6th fret while Lennon and McCartney play the regular chords but are tuned down. This would make it easier for them to sing after long travel times etc. The entire concert is like this. For the second show later that day (white suits), Harrison is capoed on the proper 7th fret and everyone is playing in 440 tuning. They used the same tuning for the first and third appearances on the Ed Sullivan Show. Both shows were filmed on 2/9/64, and- contrary to what some clueless people say- the footage is NOT playing too slow. Hence the reason “Please Please Me” (from the “third” Sullivan appearance) on the “1” blu ray plays ridiculously fast and sounds stupid. Thanks to the brainiacs “bringing the song up to pitch”. What’s next? That rotten, useless crutch effect known as autotune? 🙄🙄🙄🙄

Side B (not by order) : Day tripper , Yesterday , Michelle, Girl, Ticket to Ride, Real No where man , Paperback writer, ticket to ride , Lonely people, and Yellow submarine (last song of the Cassette ) ! Which Album are these songs Compilation from ? or Are they just some Song selection ? I recall my Father told me that this Compilation is related to " Golden Disc" (maybe in France Market ? I'm not sure cause there are differences Between Releases in UK, USA, but about France I do not know )! Thank you !
