Ferrets are a great pet for seniors. Especially true when mobility problems prevent the senior from walking a dog. Buy at least two from an animal rescue. Males are up to 50% larger than females. and are more territorial. Females need company but males can (not recommended), live alone if you can devote the time to play with them every day.
