로지의 이번 앨범은 로지가 그동안 격었던 아픔, 슬픔등 힘겨웠던 시간들을 솔직하고 직설적인 표현으로 담아냈다고 많은 사람들이 말합니다. 수록곡 대부분이 사랑과 아픔, 슬픔을 담아내고 있죠. 이 곡에 담겨있는 가사 중에 "You wasted my prettiest years" 라는 부분이 이번 앨범 전체를 대변 하는 것 같다는 생각이 듭니다. 로지가 어느 방송에 출현해서 앨범에 대해 이런 말을 하였습니다. "20대를 살면서 겪어왔던 예쁘지만은 않은 이야기를 담았다" 라고요. "toxic till the end" 참으로 사랑하지 않을 수 없는 곡이네요.

For many super famous idols there are hate groups where people stalk and bully them. Many idols unalived themselves because of this. This is paraphrasing it, but she basically said she feels like she's never enough for anyone no matter what she does, and that these lyrics are things she wishes for deep down inside. And that these things are what makes her no different from the rest of us, no matter her fame. Super deep and emotional.

A New York Times podcast interview with Rosé (in which she gets choked up talking about where this song comes from) just came out today with the title 'K-Pop Trained Rosé to Be ‘a Perfect Girl.’ Now She’s Trying to Be Herself.' think that about sums it up. the song came from her habit of late-night 'doom scrolling' and reading malicious comments about herself she said she wanted to write something disgustingly vulnerable.
