    Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I have always missed something on transposing keys, so I will be subscribing and waiting for the follow ups to this. I also song lead in an accapella singing church, so finding keys is very important to me. In a group setting you can really help people to be able to change the key to match what the singers can sing. So many ways to apply what you are teaching here. Thanks again.

    Hi from Spain, You made finding your key for happy birthday look very easy and you presented very well. One question I have relates to:- quite often the verses of songs start in one key, then the chorus a different key and the bridge different again, some songs even go up an octave, and a lot of songs go up a step usually after an instrumental break in the middle, so my question is how do you find the best key when a song changes? Kind regards,John.

    • @GoldenHillMusicAcademy
      @GoldenHillMusicAcademy Месяц назад

      Hello! So most songs stay in the same key the entire way through but the verse, chorus and bridge may start on different notes within that key. If you have a song in mind you are thinking of to give me an example what you are thinking of, I would love if you shared the title and the artist so I can look into it for you and get more of an idea of how to answer your question.

    This is *THE* most challenging thing in my journey so far. I learn the chords, the strumming patterns, yet…as soon as I open my mouth, my strumming hand starts doing its own thing, and I lose the ryhtym. So frustrating!

    • @GoldenHillMusicAcademy
      @GoldenHillMusicAcademy Месяц назад

      I know EXACTLY how you feel! If you try humming first before thinking of the words that can help. As well as picking the most simple strumming pattern to use at first and then upping the complexity as you go. If you stick with it and don't get discouraged, you will surprise yourself with eventually being able to do this!

    I am a solo instrumental finger style guitarist. Been playing since 1974. I also know how to read music. I am 71 years old. I don’t have that problem. I don’t even try to sing. My voice is terrible. The guitar does the singing for me. And I love playing this way although I’ve been playing for many years when I listen to people like Chad Atkins I think good grief how I wish I could play like him, but I can I play like I play because I who I am and not someone else I appreciate people who can sing because I sure as hell can’t. But your advice on singing is pretty good. I must say I like your video you’re helping people. I hope you have a wonderful day. Keep doing what you’re doing. You’re really a good guitarist. Some bands do all their songs in one or 2 keys

    • @GoldenHillMusicAcademy
      @GoldenHillMusicAcademy 2 месяца назад

      For me, it really depends on the song. On my set list, I have a diverse repertoire in a range of keys but other musicians/bands only have a few keys they sing/play in. Genre can play a role and also vocal ability and range. If you're a performer, playing every song in the same key can get musically boring to the ear of the audience unless you mix it up a bit with rhythm or other instruments etc. I'd play around with keys, record yourself singing in a variety of them for the particular song you want to play and then listen back and see if there is one that sounds best with your voice. There may be a few that sound great. Then experiment with other songs in the same way and see what keys you find yourself most often in. You may find you do best in certain keys more than others or you may find, depending on the song, that there are an array of keys you sing well in
