Almost all youtubers saying club face first.. then hands to let de bounce work… crap… phil the goat… easy straight stuff… dealing with the bounce and manipulating hands will destroy your game… beware for shit content

It's not funny haha to watch this kind of bollocks, it's frustrating to see how the ignorance of someone born with unbelievable abilities can try and teach average people his technique which requires fantastic timing and precision. How many golfers followed all this rubbish and thought it was their fault that every 3rd chip was duffed🤣🤣

Enjoyed the video but I keep thinking the hands are BACK not forward - I can see what you are doing but it seems more accurate to say hands are back and arm is forward? (just nit picking)😉

What about all these coaches thesedays saying keep clubshaft more vertical, ball centered, and use the bounce which is more forgiving if ground contact is a bit off... Is that crap advice? Or is Phil just 'old-school'😂

Just discovered this channel and thank you. I started playing three months ago and this is one area I am struggling . Another is Pitching. This just might get me below 100.

I come back to watch this every couple of weeks. Learn this and even as you're starting to get better, you'll see that with this technique, even the bladed/duffed shots will be much better. The one thing I would suggest/add is that it's easier to start with this technique and less loft. I play a 50 degree for most of my chip shots with this exact technique.

Bruh... I had a short game lesson and watched quite a few videos... I should have just watched this three minute thing. It helped me more than anything else. Short game has gotten significantly better just with those three simple tips.

I love watching a lefty so I don't have to reverse movements whilst learning.

Honestly when 90 percent of golfers are righthanded - its too complex for many to follow a left handed teacher. On top of that Phil, you use language that I for one - dont understand.... set up open .? face is open ? open my body ? i aim slightly closed where i want the ball to start ? i close the face ? open up the face and hit a little bit of a cut ?

He’s obviously a superb player but this hands-forward technique completely removes the ‘bounce’ from the sole of the club.

If you can hit the shot with weight forward off your back foot or front foot, why can’t you hit it from the middle with your weight forward. Makes no sense.
