Thank you for creating this video and sharing your solution. I grew up in the fifties and everybody back then knew how to open dusting powder. Guess it's a lost art - so to pass this wisdom down: you're not supposed to remove the paper at all! Instead, you just take a sharpened pencil and poke about five tiny holes (the size of a pencil point, smaller than the diameter of the pencil) in the paper cover. You can even draw a five-pointed star on the paper cover and put a tiny hole at each of the star's tips. Then you put the puff on top of the paper cover, turn the whole container over, and shake it slightly. Then turn the container (with the puff still covering the holes) right side up and lift the puff and tap the powder onto your skin. Wishing you a great day!

My daughter got me this for Mother’s Day because my grandmother used to wear it, and I would dab some on every time I visited her. The scent takes me right back into my grandma’s arms ❤ but! I came here bc if I’ll be gull darn if I know how to open it!! lol! Thank you, dear!

However, I'm thinking i should have cut the bottom like you did because the bottom appears to be just a bit smaller so that the mesh screen fits just perfectly whereas on the top (where i cut it) the screen is just a tad too small. Im 44 years old and my Mamaw and my StepMom both wore Beautiful products when I was growing up so when i was old enough to wear "real" petfume Beautiful was my obvious choice. This is actually my 1st time using the body powder, but I wish I had started using it much sooner in life lol!!! Thank you again for your incredibly helpful video ma'am!!!! OH AND BTW.....5 YEARS LATER AND YOUR VIDEO IS STILL THE ONLY THING I COULD FIND RELATED TO THIS!!! Estee Lauder might want to step up their game lol.

Hy sweety, I would have punctured the powder box with a thick needle instead of opening the whole box with knife or the scissor. Just take a needle and puncture it. For me that was the easier thing to do and it works perfectly

I opened my box by peeling off the taped end on the side of the box and it almost made the top part of the board come off. I then deposited the contents of the paperbox into the plastic container and voila!! There you have it! The packaging team at @Estée Lauder ought to do better than this for sure.

I ran a knife under the lid and the bottom. It loosened the lid a bit (no glue) and I was able to open it then. Before I used the knife the lid refused to come off without creating a big mess. Thanks for sharing! It’s nice to know someone else was frustrated with this.
