"I don't know" is a joke answer. He knows exactly why, it's because men bring in more sponsor money and more viewers, so there is more money in tennis compared to female tennis. It's just logical. If women's tennis were more popular than male tennis then the women would earn more, but they don't because people don't want to watch it as much as they want to watch men play tennis.

Female MMA fighters and marathon runners can complete the 5 rounds and 26 mile distances just as men do. Therefore women tennis players can no longer claim to be the "Weaker-Sex" when it comes time to play 5-sets, but equal to men when it's time to collect a paycheck.

Men spend more in the sporting market, men in the sporting market are more influential and get played more. But woman what to control, and kill all the fun, and so how want men to be happy about it.
