Now probably this cats are dead, its sad 😢
Anyone here in 2024, seeing these beautiful cats?
70 people can’t just GET IN! That’s kinda stupid
NBC reporters must be shamed. It is parents and young adults fault, not parks.
I'm sure many of the students who went on this trip now have kids of their own. And I'm betting that whenever they take their kids to a waterpark, they're telling their kids in a firm voice to ALWAYS follow the rule and obey the lifeguards.
It's not just the waterpark's responsibility to keep the visitors from getting hurt, it's also the visitors' responsibility. It's the waterpark's responsibility to enforce safety rules and it's the visitors' responsibility to follow/obey them.
Every single one of these 'Beavis and Butt-Heads' has that girl's death on their hands. They knew what they were doing was dangerous, and that's why she's dead. It wasn't the park's fault. And if any of them is reading this, I hope the past 27 years have been hell on your conscience.
1) that slide was able to hold 1550 pounds, with all of those students on there (I think was 33 total) was around 6000 pounds so that slide was very safe until they went on it. 2) let’s stop defending them saying “they’re teenagers they’re gonna do stupid things” like yeah but they are definitely old enough to understand that rules are there for a reason and this could be dangerous. I was a teenager not long ago and I never did anything that stupid. Teenagers are expected to do things like crash your parents car in the front yard (something my mom did as a teen) but not pile up on a water slide that’s 4 stories in the air
i loved waterslides as a kid for a while... and then i went down one and on a tight turn my body went completely airborne and i was damn near was thrown over the side. scared the hell out of me. i ground myself to a complete stop and made sure i went really slow the rest of the way down. i haven't been back on a slide since
Good depop. We need more water parks.
It will be so much better when AI takes over and rids the planet of humanity.
bunch of fucking idiots 😭
even seemingly MINOR rules? A rule of "one person at a time" is NOT minor enough to think you can put THIRTY TIMES THAT AMOUNT (and hope to put 70 times it) with no repercussions.
crime. Not accident. The kids committed a crime. Literally NONE of these pieces of shit had any remorse over what they did. What THEY caused.
Stupid teens.
oh how sweet i hope they still live to love each other 💓
You know the quality is bad when there isnt even a option to change quality 😅
"They're teenagers man, they're really stupid" Captain Dickson, 21 Jump Street
This is not the fault of the park or the slide...was the stupidety of the sliders...R.I.P to the victems😢
The class valedictorian was on the slide? I wonder if he can tell me who Sir Isaac Newton is.... If these students weren't mature enough to follow regulations, how could they have been entrusted to give an accurate account of what actually happened? Most of them probably blame the person in back of them for pushing them along as they rush to jam the slide.
most valedictorians are sadly jocks. they're book smart, but not street smart. especially valedictorians in small towns like Napa
These spoiled brats are the ones that ruined it for everyone else
What the hell was they thinking, all that weight ain’t going hold that slide?😅
Happy pride month
Wtf this so dumb sad rest in peace
Dumbasses really tought the slide would be able to hold 70 people. Were they really in school? Basic math and common sense. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I subscribed
There’s a reason why safety rules exist.
She's all boo hoo now but she was laughing her ass off before wasn't she!!! Her and her graduating class screwed up way more lives that day!! You can bet they weren't crying when they were spending the money!!
What a stupid senior tradition.
When you get older and realize how many safety regulations and rules are written in blood...it becomes harder to feel sorry for young adults who partake in these idiotic challenges
Worse part to me is that it seems that the one person who paid the price for this stunt with her life was the one person who seemingly had the sense NOT to go in with the rest of the crowd, but rather hung back...then went last. THAT, to me, is the real tragedy here. I wonder if, even today, these kids, now grown up, still refuse to take accountability for costing a classmate her life
She went last...as part of the group. She knew what she was doing. It isn't as if she thought the slide was clear.
Please tell me these people are not now in Government.
Wait a minute why would you sue the park and school for something you created? It should be the other way
I dident know about this till this day, and this year 2023. But regarless of how many years back this was is good to show our kids, teens about how important it is to follow RULES not just at home but everywhere. Failing to do so can end up in Death, and yeah as teens we all been there that we feel nothings going to happen to us but as we see here it does.

These kids should consider themselves lucky that they are not dead I’ve got 0 sympathy for them or what they did ! No one should have gotten a dime and they shouldn’t have been able to graduate!!!
safety protocols are written in blood. These young adults were 17-18. That’s old enough to understand and know the reasoning behind the park rules and they didn’t follow them. It’s a shame that these kids got hurt but it’s fully their fault.
This senior school pride shit is so dumb. "Yeah let's get more ppl clogged in a water park slide than last year's class!" Did they not learn about Darwin before graduating?
They found out after fuckong around
100% the fault of those kids.
Idiots. Every single one of them. I don't have any sympathy to the dumbass kids.
Californians are freakazoids
"you never think anything is going to happen" "I had a thought...but...you just push it out of your head like anything else" ...no. Some people have common sense or even just sense at all, even 17-18 year olds. Y'all are just fucking dumb. RIP to the deceased girl. So senseless.
Honestly I don’t feel sorry for the kids. They were morons and had it coming to them.
Fuckin idiots
This interview looks like to took place not too long after the incident occurred. That poor girl was still in hospital. Idk I think it’s kind of unfair to have them relive the trauma so soon?
How is you a valedictorian and going do stupid thing like this? They should be known as world's dumbest students!
They were so stupid!!!
Special olympics always available.
I was only five in 1997 and even I knew better than to do something as stupid as these kids. They might as well have been charged with homicide for their actions that ended up killing their classmate.
