ORI oversees research misconduct inquiries and investigations (including review of institutional activities for compliance with 42 CFR Part 93); makes findings of research misconduct and proposes administrative actions in connection with research conducted or supported by the PHS; reviews institutional policies to ensure compliance with 42 CFR Part 93; manages institutional ORI Assurances; conducts education and outreach related to fostering research integrity and the responsible conduct of research; supports PHS-funded research institutions as they work to foster a research environment that promotes research integrity and the responsible conduct of research, and to respond effectively to allegations of research misconduct.
