Portimao No-Limits Trackday. Oct 2017 Day 2 session 3
Lovely video
I would call it respectful riding as it should always be "no one gets hurt that way "
Brilliant vid pal, we are doing the nc500 end of May and your video just helping fuel the fire 😂🤜🤛
Lovely video mate Nice riding
Love it , knackered just watching the last days ride, cool video thanks.
My 2nd track day was at cadwell, this brings back fond memories! Cadwell 2021 august, on my own bike. Cant wait!
Hi Mark, loved the video. How do you do that tracking thing, with the map?
Hi, I used a program called Keynote that comes free with iMacs to do the travel routes. I looked for an easier way (free) to do it but couldn't find one, so if you've got an iMac that's one way of doing it. I'm sure there will be loads of tutorials on RUclips better than the one I started with. ruclips.net/video/W2lVdSXhS8o/видео.html Good luck.
Cheers Mark 👍🏻
Always loved this track, and always wanted to do a track day, could you briefly share with me the process from booking to turning up and getting going? And prices? Thanks!
Hi Graham, you should do it if you get the opportunity, its great fun. I booked through No Limits track days on my first track day and have stuck with them ever since. They are so well organised and friendly, you can check the prices on their website, and there's loads of information about what to expect on a track day. Once you've booked and selected the group you want to ride in (novice for beginners) you turn up on the day, nice and early around 6-6.30am, get your bike unloaded, and then if your as nervous as I was just try and relax and grab a coffee - there truly is nothing to be nervous about. You then sign in, get you wrist band confirming your group and a couple of stickers to put on your bike. You then take your bike to scrutineering for a check over and noise test which only takes a few moments - but you usually have to que. The Marshalls doing the scrutineering then ticks one of the stickers on you bike to say you've passed and your good to go. Next comes the safety briefing which usually last around 30mins and goes over all the safety and track information. And then that's it. There's normally three groups of riders, novice, intermediate and fast group. Each group get 20mins on track and then 40mins off while the other two groups go out, and then repeat through out the day. 20mins doesn't seem a lot but its plenty. Novices are the 3rd group to go out i.e last and you will be called to the track though the pa system when it your turn. It is great fun and every rider should do it.
@@MarkJackson-eb4kf thanks for the reply, I think this year il be booking up for somewhere for my first track day for sure. A couple of friends are in the same position so will make it even more fun for all of us. Brilliant advice and also answered a few questions, can’t thank you enough!
hahaha that guy in front of you at 1:45 trying to get his knee down by literally hanging completely off the side of bike with no lean angle oh man......
He’s probably just practicing and having a great time. It’s not all about being Valentino, especially in the novice group :)
you lean off the bike so you dont need lean angle on the bike. its a safer way of going fast especially if theyre on cold tyres
What's a good quality satnav that has a decent screen which doesn't go crazy after some rain drops please?
This is exactly what the NC500 is NOT for. Sad video
Riding with your mates having fun?
Cracking video Mark, looked like an amazing trip!
Thanks
How are you Dalentino, I hope you're keeping well. I understand you've gone back to a sports bike
Mark Jackson I’m all good mate ta. How about you? Did you ever to a vid of the TT Trip? Guilty as charged, a fellow Bavarian bike owner like yourself haha, got a cracking deal on an S1000RR, incredible bike.
great bit of riding there fella
great little video, enjoyed that!
Just booked my 1st Trackday at Brands-hatch with MSVT. Do you know if there are tyre warmers available for hire at the location? I couldn't see any option when booking...
I've never used tyre warmers so I can't really help.
Nice video, and nice content in your channel. You should be much bigger in terms of subscribers. KEEP it up and you will get there. I am struggling to get to 1K), I mostly upload motorcycle riding and track riding videos...and I'd appreciate if you come by and have a look, or subscribe. I already subbed to your channel. Take care!!!
do you need racing tyres on first time ?
lukasz kisiel not at all, I just had standard road tyres
Going well there Mark :-)
Mesmerising - and these were all novices?
Mostly, there were two lads that shot by us that should have been in the intermediate/fast group. And we thought we were doing really well until then. :)
1:37 was a bit of a moment ;-) lol
Foot pegs save the day :-)
Isn't that an S1000XR not R?
No he just has taller screen
not too shabby....:)
The only guy who cleans the bug's off the back of his helmet.
me oh yeh its ME 😂
You was following me on the gsxr 750 for ages! Great footage! Your nearly rear ended me though lol. My brakes were playing up that day, lots of wobbling from the bars! Wondering if the guy on the Ktm that crashed on the last session is ok. Silly overtake he tried though!
Hi.Do you have any more videos from this day, I was in the novice group and was wondering if I was on any of your videos.
I have a couple of videos from the afternoon, didn't risk it in the morning due to the rain. If you can give me an idea of what your bike looked like and anything that would stand out so I can identify you I'll have a look through.
Mark Jackson Martin Bone I was on an all white zx6r. Under seat can. All black leathers. White and black helmet and white and black boots. No lights or licence. It would probably looks like I had broke down I was going that slow in the morning. Cheers.
Mark Jackson and after the rain I came in! Lol
Editing on point Christopher
Superb editing as usual...... Clever git !
Get dat knee down boi!!😉😎👍🏻
