3 Reasons you CAN'T get into your cross back on AERIAL SILKS
How much space should there be around the anchoring point of the aerial straps? I don't understand if the space I have is sufficient, what radius should I have? thanks!
Do you mean floor space below the straps? You should have a bit more than the farthest point of your straddle or split as to not hit anyone or anything. You should have enough to account for orbiting while spinning or the distance you travel while swinging.
How many days you need to train to get it done?😇
It would depend on prior experience and strength. This one took me a year to get, but I practiced it only a few times in that year and didn't know the tricks to make it work.
I’m still not used to the dizziness factor yet 😂😂
I am with you there! It takes a while to get used to it and then I lose spinning tolerance pretty quickly. I took a break for a month and now just a little bit of spinning makes me sick 🤢
Thanks for the video. I’m going to practice these ❤
Awesome! Would love to know how it goes for you!
5!
OMG ARE YOU OK?!?? BUT THAT LOOKS SO FUN!
😂 all good thanks!
Ouch that must hurt😧
just a bit 🙈 but you get used to bruises with a lot of training😄
Ur channel is so underrated i just found it and obsessed❤!!
🥹 Aww thank you so much! 🥰 Glad you found it! Let me know what else you would like to learn and I will do my best :)
Tnx
Happy to help!
Yay! It's nice to find some more advanced move tutorials!
Awesome! Hopefully I can film some more advanced moves for you again soon!
You have a very nice way of explaining Aerial tricks 😘 I'm glad 've found your channel. These videos will be nice addition to my classes ^^ Thank you for putting these on the internet💙
Thanks so much for your comment! Happy you found my channel too!
Thank you so much for your wonderful videos! I had a question related to the coffin, actually. How are you ensuring that your feet don’t slip and your upper body slides downwards? This is something that doesn’t bother me when both my feet are on, but when I’m trying to hook my foot on the head-side of the sling, my pushing foot tends to slip more often than not. Thank you again for all your videos btw!! They are so good and informative 😊
So glad you are finding the videos helpful! This “coffin” move doesn’t require hooking a food on the head side of the sling. Is it a different move you are talking about? Sometimes there’s a bit of slippage in this move but keeping lots of tension in your body really helps. Only release your hands once your body is nice and stiff and legs are straight. If you’re slipping maybe due to dry feet or sweaty feet, you can add some rosin to the bottoms or wipe them off with a towel :) if you still need more help, feel free to send me a message or video on instagram
@@theaerialistsguide hello and thank you so much for replying! really appreciate you taking the time out! :) Also yes apologies, I wasn't referring to the coffin move exactly, my bad. It is a different move, yes, but I don't know the name and this was the closest video of yours. Just want to hook my leg (kinda like Running Man) and bend it. I found out in subsequent classes that the issue was that my toes weren't pointing outwards enough and as I raised my legto hook on the other side of the hammock, due to my inflexbility, my foot would tend to slip off. I'm working on it, and your tutorials are so helpful! Thank you! :)
@Mangocoffee32 amazing! Glad your instructor was able to help you out with that! I hope you nail it soon!
I love it
Happy to hear it!
Wow! What amazing variation from the 360° drop! Love it! 🥰
Yeah it’s a cool one!
How big is that hammock you are using? My 5 meter hammock appears to be too short to pull this off.
At the longest, my hammock is about 11 meters end to end or 5.5 meters from hardware to the bottom. In this video, it may have been rigged a bit shorter to maybe 4.5 meters hardware to bottom of the hammock.
Thanks!
@Lhotta no problem!
Ok as a brand new aerialist, this was SUPER helpful and informative. 😊👍
So glad to hear! And welcome to the aerial world! What is your favorite apparatus so far?
It looks very cool!! 😊
I loved your tips ♾️♥️🙏🏾
So glad I can help!
Thank u we are practicing now! 😊
Awesome! Let me know how it goes and which ones are your favorite :)

I been trying to do this trick for so long and I finally got it, Thank you!
Amazing 🥹!! What was the tip that helped you finally get it??
Tnx this was helpful😊❤
Glad it was helpful! I also have a full video on tying your hammock: ruclips.net/video/BjIsgS-2wEs/видео.html
how high should my straps be hung? I'm about 6ft tall and have my own, but I don't know how high off the ground they should be. (for my height)
It depends what you want to do on them and how you want to hold the straps. There is hanging by the loops or doing a wrap without the loops. What kind of moves or poses do you like to do on straps?
Which tip helped you?
The first one helped me the most ,360 was my first drop and it has improved.this really helped thank you!
@@lilybeanie5237amazing! So glad to hear ❤

I like 3 as well! Fun and also one of the easier ones to remember :)
Beautiful! 🤩 Does that hurt your legs?
Yes 🙈 you eventually get more used to the wrap and how tight of a squeeze that is though and it isn’t so bad
Wait…I thought this was a comment on a different video hahaha 🤣 no this one doesn’t hurt if you’re wearing pants. Maybe a little bit if you haven’t practiced it but this one is one of the nicer poses on the body haha
ruclips.net/video/PAo_gbHcnek/видео.htmlsi=lODe9GTVj46Gv0xS this is the one that really hurts
I prefer 2,I love your videos keep up the good work❤
Yeah that one is clean and simple 😊
Thank you! Glad you like them!
Tysm i’ve been looking for a tutorial on this drop
Glad I could help!
Me who doesn’t have a 360😢
you got this! keep up the training!
you are quite a cutie
I burned the crap out of my leg doing a slack drop for the first time with shorts on lmao
omg I just did that too 🙈 It was a hot day and I forgot I was in shorts! Happens to us all!
These are great tips that I wish I'd heard in my early days. I would like to add being sure to hydrate! I have found that when I'm drinking too much coffee or tea and not enough water, I'm way more likely to bruise, feel pinched in wraps, or dizziness from spinning and inversions.
Wow! Great tip! I don't know that I have noticed a difference with hydration and pain tolerance, but I will definitely pay attention to that in the future!
This is really good. My hammock has been lonely for months, I'm ready to hop back on 🕊
so glad to hear you will be getting back to aerial hammock!
I'd love a breakdown of the optimal pullover. I'm watching the first few seconds of the video over and over to watch what you are doing, I'd love it narrated. It looks like you are grabbing at shoulder height, doing a bit of a pullup to get to a tuck, then leaning back and bending at the elbows whole holding the tuck at 90 degrees until you are over, and then it becomes more shoulder movement and inertia. What else am I missing?
Hey there! Yeah, you got it! I do have a video you can check out breaking down "the optimal pullover" here 😊: ruclips.net/video/ZpNbjHzh0gY/видео.htmlsi=Hw6RhaJEkJamL8yS The big key is that kind of upside down pull up. Nobody really explained that part to me back in tumbling class and it took me forever to get a pullover. But I realized later it was just that I needed to make sure my hips were above the bar (or hammock in this case) before you can start tilting back. You can also do it with some momentum swinging your legs up into that pike or tuck position while simultaneously doing the pull up and tilt back. I hope this helps!
So well explained Can’t wait to try it
Awesome! Let me know how it goes and if you need any other help with it :)
@@theaerialistsguide it’s very tough at the moment
It’s a really tough one that requires some patience and lots of pain tolerance, unfortunately. It took me a year of on and off practicing it to finally get it. Keep at it though and you’ll probably get it much faster than me!
I always learn a lot with your channel!! Keep it up the great work! 🥰
Just what I was looking for. Thanks!
Yay! I hope it helped your get your angel roll ups!
Thank you so much! These tips will help immensely as a new aerial silker. (Silker? Is that even a word? What would you call someone who does silks?)
I like it! “Silker” should definitely be a thing! You can say “aerialist” to encompass any apparatus or sometimes I just say “I do aerial silks” 🤷♀️
Please tutorial
Love this!! Thank you for sharing
You’re so welcome! 🤗
I personally love the first song! Which is your favorite from this playlist?
I really want to do aerial silks and your voice is satisfying

Showww 💫
Thank you som much I needed this video
You’re welcome! There are so many entrances that it’s so hard to keep track of all of them 🥴 I needed this video too! 😂
Those faces are very familiar to me as a beginner 😆
😂 happens even once you’re not a beginner. There are always some more painful moves waiting for you in the next level haha!
I really appreicate this video as this drop scares me
🙏 so glad you have found it helpful ☺️ a full rotation drop can definitely be scary but keep at it!
Your tips are great! Keep it up! 🥰
