AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!! I bought a powerchair from able world in lincoln costing around £1600 in november 2022. At first the chaor seemed ok. I then went on holiday with my wife and children, on the first day away the left motor broke down. I rang able world and spoke to someone who said under the circumstances they would send an engineer to the hotel to fix it as they had time and space in the diary. When he realised we was 90 mins from where he was coming from the offer to send someone was rescinded and he said hire one and rhey will cover the cost. After doing some research there was NONE available to rent... £1200 wasted on a holiday where i had to sit in a hotel room unable to get out. I relayed my discuste and the customer services operator said he would send me a £10 gift card as an apology ( DISGUSTING AND INSULTING). My chair was repaired.... fast forward to october this year and having only using the chair once since it was fixed. I book a 1 night stay at alton towers, after being in the park less then 20 minutes YOU GUESSED IT !!!!! my power chair broke again WITH THE SAME PROBLEM!!!!! i contacted ableworld and their responses have been very un sympathetic and quite patronising to be honest. They did offer to fix again, which i didnt want as now its cost me a total of £1800 in 2 holidays and a £1600 i think in a chair that keeps braking down!!!!! I requested a refund as the chair is clearly not fit for purpose again there disgusting attitude and customer service refused!!!! AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!! THEIR NAME SAYS ABLEWORLD BUT THERE PRODUCTS SAY DIFFERENT!!!!!!THEY ARE CONMEN WHO TAKE YOUR MONEY AND OFFER NO DIGNITY OR RESPECT!!!!!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID

This video is the worst I have seen The wig wag this person is in about isnt practical I would be literally pssed off putting this together in a hail storm and damaging the scooter and then expensive repairs no thanks I my opinion videos like this should be shown by a disabled person 3 minutes im sleeping

Could someone tell this chap how to make an instructional video? I've watched this over 20 times and still can't see exactly where he's fixing things or how a normal stick can clip into such a small clip. Frustration! It needs to be slower, less dark (!) and show close-ups of where the fixings go

Can you advise please? I got caught in a storm. My Athena scooter got VERY wet. I dried it as best I could and then got the hair drier on it to dry everything out. 3 days later I got it out the shed and it started just fine, but after only 50 metres it stopped and now won't do anything. All the display is off not showing any power and no horns etc work. I suspect a drip of water has got into somewhere with movement and blew a fuse. Where are they so I can check and change if necessary? BTW the drive is engaged and not in the push mode. My scooter is only 3 months old and I am stranded.

the only problem is if someone invents something to cut the cable ties, lol so i would suggest using very strong epoxy glue as well

Sorry fell asleep watching this 🙈 Should have been titled how to assemble a mobility scooter .... Tip 1 .... Avoid distracting background chatter by filming when the store is closed .... Tip 2 Get someone with mobility issues to demonstrate ... I could just imagine using the wig wag after 10 minutes assembling the scooter in the pi**ing rain in Tesco Carpark .... 🤮

Wouldn't help those with bad backs or knees much though, which is what most seniors suffer badly from. Too much bending. What most seniors need is a self lifting scooter with no need to take apart, is easy to turn around in an elevator or get into regular doors, and has enough storage to carry more than a couple of rolls of toilet paper. No one has invented one yet it seems, except for the Wisking people so the best people can do is buy a separate indoor car lifter which is usually an additional $3000 and must fit the scooter as well. Some lifters also carry only one type of scooter and are useless if people have 2 different devices they use depending in where they want to go (eg, wheel chair and scooter). Many scooters don't even have lifting or securing hooks for safety in a wheelchair cab or bus. Wish more companies would focus on building an ideal lifter or better yet, the ideal ramp or something like the Wisking scooter company has for one of their scooters. We need more companies specializing in ramps and in-car lifters. Bugs me when people add unnecessary things to scooters like USB features and extra panels for beauty etc yet few design a scooter that is easy for those with bad backs and knees. They all have to still take an assistant with them just to get these things in their cars. Most seniors can't even remove something as light as a walker from their cars so still need assistance! Car companies could be more imaginative as well in designing cars not so expensive for seniors to easily and cheaply modify. Maybe build scooter sized sealed wagons on the back that people van buy as vehicle extensions, for example.
