7010.b MP5 Player backup camera connection
You have to hook up the camera wire at the trunk to your reverse light wire
I got mine under brown cable or on manual "brake sensor" - however it will only says reversing with a blue screen. I tried plugging in the yellow video cable to cam in or cvbsin still no video at all can anyonw help?
Thx❤
what is the black cable ?
I didn't even understand how it was fixed what you did because I have the same problem
I had the same problem and after a lot of scratching my head and research, I figured out that the camera port in the stereo does not get hot for some reason. So, I just used the "video out" port instead and now my camera works. However, I lost the function of having my screen automatically open when I switch into reverse, so I have to press the button that opens the screen, before I can see the image. I know this is not the best outcome, but at least I have a camera now, without having to purchase a new stereo...
On the power connector you can see a couple of wires , one of the wire is the trigger for the reverse camera. You need to connect it to the power for the reverse light ( in addition to connecting the camera output to cam input) .
Can you help me, it opens, but the logo appears, the screen does not open, should it be formatted?
You are moving the backup cam to a video In port. If you don't have the parking brake sensor wire grounded, and it is wired to the cars parking brake sensor wire, it shuts off the video so you cant watch porn, i mean movies, and drive. If you tie that wire to the ground wire, it will let you ignore that feature. You have a red wire at the rear on your yellow tipped cam wire that needs to connect to the other red wire that you connect to the back up light. either trim the insulation and splice it or use a double connector that jumps the wires together. The remainder of the wire connects to the backup light. Then at the stereo, you have to connect the other short red wire from the yellow end to the "Back In" wire. The manual of my particular model (7012B CAR MP5 Player) says it is the pink wire, however, the label on the head unit itself is calling for an orange wire. (to be determined soon) Incidentally, the brake sensor wire and the backup sensor are 1 and 2, in whichever order they actually are. finally, that red wire will get power when you put it into reverse from the wiring to the backup light. that signal is sent to the camera to turn on, and back to the radio to tell it to turn on the screen for backing up. I know you have moved on, but this might help someone else with the same problem.
Wish I could get this sorted. Swapped onto the right wire, pink on mine, but still get no signal when the yellow connector is in the right slot. So I have to keep in AV1 and swap it over when I need it. Buy cheap, get shit I guess!
mine' not working
That's the problem for me, too. It doesn't switch on itself, just the led
Had u fix it? I have the same problem no video in screen but leds are on?

Thank very much from Brazil!
Hi there, do you know please why my unit beeps when I put the car in reverse but the image does not show up? If I change the function to aux using the second top-down button I can see the reverse camera but it does not show up automatically.
You want to identify the reverse cable
Subwoofer?

This is the solution to this issue. ruclips.net/video/9DoNV6EFVxY/видео.html
Connect the red, pink wire together the brown wire three wire together correct connection rearview
I'm having the same issue
Solved it. I probably should have made a video but anyway....your connection is ok mine came with the (pink) wire too and not the (grey) one what some people are looking for. What I think your problem is/was (being that this was over a year ago) is the + wire to the reverse light which gives power to the camera when reverse is selected. If your using some snap on connectors like what I was using to avoid cutting the wires then check to see if they pierced the wired properly or just scrape it to expose the wires then snap them back on.
I had the same problem drove me nuts. Your problem is the red trigger wire on the mp5 side. The red wire from the cable assembly need to be connected to your original car harness to the mp5 harness, then the red wire spliced into this connection. There is a label on the bottom of the mp5 that tells you which pin on the harness is for camera wire. The video connection should go to camera in (camin), not video. The reason you can view in the aux is because the video is always hot. Good luck.
I had the same problem. You need to connect your camera trigger wire to the bottom harness, top wire, closest to clip. This is usually the pink wire on your harness. Your wiring diagram is likely marked "Parking Sensor" or "Back In".
According to the manual and some vids on RUclips, the red wire of the cable should connect to the GRAY wire ( A2 wire) on the A plug ( bottom plug, just under the pink wire) I have the same problem, try all the suggestion still not working. What make me wonder is the plug come with the unit doesn't have the A2 and A3 which are "Parking sensor" and "Back in" functions. Got a replacement one, same problem. Gave up, get a better on for $220 from Ebay, work like a Champ.
Thank you so much, now it's working ...I was looking for back up wire but it was parking sensor(pink)
I have found the fix for this problem. Had the same problem myself. I have a video on my channel about it. PS sorry for the video quality
Where can i find ur channel

Where you able to fix the problem?
this is the fix. ruclips.net/video/9DoNV6EFVxY/видео.html
Combine the red wire that comes off the yellow plug with the wire that needs to be connected to the reversing light wire.then connect them both to the reversing light wire once youve found it.it doesn't have to be grounded.I just used the red and black wire (meant to be for ground )to make the short red wire off the yellow longer.up the front of the car the yellow video cable goes in the bottom right as normal and the red wire off it to the (back in) or reverse wire off the harness
Right above the yellow wire in the car harness , You will need to plug a wire in the left up exactly above yelow wire And Conect IT tot the Red wire that îs with the yelow RCA and that îs IT, the RCA needs to be in cam in position in your player, sorry for my english
Red (video cabel) cabel connecting to reversing lamp (+) wiring.
The red cable connect to the grey cable
I have the SAME problem so i suing my DVR line or in your case line in for video.
This is the fix. ruclips.net/video/9DoNV6EFVxY/видео.html
Orange and pink wire was switched on my wire harnes that came with my stereo. Look in the manual and look closely where the pink wire shuld be placed in the ISO connector.
It says that it has to be linked with the one on the bottom right corner. It has to be linked with the one on top
HI, This is how you fix this. the pink wire you joined to the red wire is the wrong one. There are usually two pink wires. The correct wire for the reverse camera is the pink wire with a black line. The one you used now is to help with using av-in/ aux . What worked for me because i wanted to connect an iphone (mirrorcast works for android only as of now), i joined it to the black wire so that i can use the screen via aux to connect my phone for use as a gps/navigator/videos.
Can you please explain the last part a bit? How can I connect-link my phone to the screen?
