In this video I describe how I desalinate seawater at home using my own refined solar distillation technique. I also discuss some important and very interesting observations that I have witnessed during the process of running these experiments in an attempt to improve the system. These observations highlight the importance of understanding the basics of thermodynamics and the gas laws in order to make informed improvements to future variations of these solar distillation units.
