Great question! This edit was done using Photoshop, but we tend to use both Photoshop and Lightroom for our editing. Hope that helps!

Hi Ryan! Great question! Pressing Delete will make the selection "white" in the mask - meaning it will show the underlying layer. As long as there is a selection on the image it will not delete the mask. If you have any other questions, let us know! @@PhotoUpMarketing use luminosity blending and darken mode for lights and window pulls are better techniques. You not using all the tools Photoshop offers to make better blends.
