Вот что это? Что они делают и для чего? Ловят руку потом бьют. Это сложно. Надо проще выход искать. Ногой встречаешь, ломаешь структуру, работаешь волнами непонятно чтобы.
Hojo undo teknics ....
Great explanation and demonsration by my sensei!
Bro thought he did something 😭😭😭
Thank you for the clear and crisp demonstration. Hadn't done this in decades; now can add it to the revival of my Sanchin practice.
We would've seen this in boxing much more (or at all) if it was effective. or mma. Or anywhere.
that's fantasy it doesn't work on the real world even the block technique of a street fighter is more legit
Studied Uechi-Ryu in the late 70's. We were told that Sanchin was so important to Uechi-Ryu that if you took the black belt test , performing Sanchin poorly or not good enough, testers would fail you on the spot. The Sanchin we learned did not have the blocks at the end. We learned 3 steps forward with nukite, turn, 3 steps with nukite, turn, 3 steps with nukite, end.
So strong,,,good for UFC …
Thank you 💪🏻🤜🏻👍🏻
This Technique is more the judo self defense against kicks.
I love and teach Judo but this technique is straight out of Uechi Ryu kata 😃
No disrespect Ryan but I think early the MMA battles, where all the arts went up against each other has answered the question, are traditional arts still applicable. If you're talking about Joe Bloggs in the street then probably. If you're talking about MMA types, then no it's not applicable.
Thanks for your thoughts on this. It’s not that different from similar ways kicks are caught in MMA. Just because it is a little different doesn’t mean it couldn’t be effective in the cage. It definitely takes proper distancing and timing to pull it off against a high-level striker.
Thanks Ryan. Check the footage from the very first UFC events. All arts were thrown together against each other. You will find it interesting.@@ryandean29
If that is so true why did not Gracie dojo storm, Dan insanstos school then. Why did they back out of fighting Benny uquidenz
If you are honest with yourself, not every member of a dojo possesses the skills of either Inosanto or Urquidez. And inosanto would have got into BJJ if they had the time and the energy.@@jacobharris954
Katas very important 😊is the best General 😊
I am a Parker Karate (Kenpo) & Korean stylist- I have had some Uechi training. You are one of the best I have seen…
Thanks so much 😃
Enjoy your stuff brother
Great job
Thanks so much💪🏻🤜🏻👍🏻
Very well explained. I've trained Uechi Sanchin under Peggy Hess in Florida, and Bamboo Forest Mantis' Saam Bo Chin form under Henry Yee. Yee's version of the form ( at that time ) used the "crushing step" or "elephant step" as we wore shoes, which sent a vibration through the body. When twisting the limbs, this would tighten the muscles so that the ligaments received the vibrations in a slight repetitive stretching action that was supposedly to loosen the tendons. In Seikichi Toguchi's book on Goju Ryu you can see him as well as his student's demonstration of Sanchin shows them torquing their forearms outward in a similar twisting dynamic, though the text never explains nor references this ( if memory serves me ).
I love Peggy Hess so much. She is a masterful teacher and has a heart of gold. Master Yee sounds awesome as well. It sounds like you have had some very good teachers.
7 Star Mantis has the Crushing Step as well.
this is by far the most instructionally sound video ive come across, thanks Sensei
That means a lot to me. Thank you. I am going to start posting a lot more videos 😃
I would consider you a practitioner of Uechi Ryu and you study Sanchin kata as it is a foundation of this system of karate
Good job on the video sensei. By the way, would you consider me a studying practitioner of the KATTA that you demonstrated, or MI a practitioner as you are??
Never move straight back. Move at angles. Footwork and movement are key. Shodan uechi ryu. Rick Martin sensei.
Rip Craig Fallon ❤
He was so talented. Gone too soon😢
Good question, it’s called bunchai. It’s a demonstration of techniques found in the kata. Kata has many benefits to the practitioner. Every time you practice kata you should be trying to perfect the movement. This sets the neurological pathways in mind so that you can fire your technics just like turning on a light switch. Kata is something most people can do for their whole lives. Some martial arts that do not have kata may not offer their student enough when they are not in their prime for combat
What is this gonna do for you
Where is she now? 9 years is a long time. Mabe an update to how she's doing
She is still training and doing well :) Thanks for asking
Amanda It's first time I saw your face, you look smart same as your words are, you are learning that really hard, it's nice of you, respect from Pakistan 🇵🇰
Amanda you are doing awesome job
that was a horrible sword attack.
your eye of the tiger looks like it lacks all peripheral vision
lot of unnecessary wind up in the front snap kick
the first elbow strike is delivered from a leaning stance...
circle blocks are way too close and low, hard too believe that's your rank.
nothing goes outside the width of the body,
Your stepping while thrusting, which is not how i was taught to demonstrate Seisan.
That’s ok. There are many ways of doing things and still getting good results.
@@ryandean29 perhaps we should all stick with what we were taught so Uechi-ryu doesn't become a meaningless thing. But I'm sure you know better than Kanie Uechi...
I am going to try this right away. My usual is lean back to ride the punch and use spine as a spring board to power forward to accelerate the right cross. How has you technique improved?
See him coming the night before!!
That was really good I thought it was cool
Wut
Interesting. I guess I should pay more attention in class next time.
There are a few bits your missing from it but your pretty close .
It's a wave.
I agree 😃
@@ryandean29 Would you like to know how to improve it? Or have you moved on to something else?
@@kubotan26 of course. Please share your idea
@@ryandean29 Instead of pushing your hips forward and breaking your posture Step1)inhale so your belly goes out then exhale fast pulling belly in Fast and tuck in tail bone . Practice this till you got it down. Then Step 2) Use a high/ Natural Cat Stance so weight on rear foot and some on toes of front foot heel up but stand Naturally. Now combine with step 1 - So as you exhale an tuck tail etc Stamp down your front foots heel this will take the wave up spine to round your upper back. Practice this then. Step3)Make sure your shoulders are down & very relaxed as the wave hits upper back throw out your punch from your elbow but ..1) Throw it chambered from just in front of your heart and a vertical fist . And 2) Point Fist slightly down but snap it up ( middle and ring knuckles ) but land flat on target. Start off making this a large movement then make it smaller and smaller as you get better at it. Practice both Sides left&Right Fists. You can add a small step forward To it for a little more power. Target the Point of the Chin To effect medulla . Needs to be a flush impact. This whole practice is for a one punch knockout .
@@ryandean29 Just to add- Which ever foots forward use that fist. As you get better add in the rear. And when you exhale and tuck tail keep it short and with a slightly closed mouth like blowing a balloon up or a sneeze. Practice it seated then standing. And the Snap from the wrist is where the wave becomes the whip and creates the heavy impact in towards target. Don't practice on a hanging bag put the bag on a table lent against a wall and you will feel how much of a solid punch this is. Coordinating it all together is key. To Advance it play with the range -Start long to mid and see how close you can do it at. And also add a small step Forward Back Left & Right etc
What is that block called and how does it work?
BULLSHIDO
will this. work against a muay thai fighter
If that is children with a blackbelt in the backround then this is a mcdojo, children should not have blackbelts until they are atleast sixteen yrs of age
Children have had black belts in various martial arts since the invention of the belt system. Children have been instructing and managing martial arts schools forever. So, what you're saying is not true. Also, before you generalize confine your statement to your own neck of the woods. Other arts, other countries have child black belts without issue (>13) . It may not work for your organisation or location but it works for them.
Very unique
Thank you for sharing this. My dojo closed shortly after I was promoted to Nidan and this is a great reference for learning this kata.
I am glad it Helps and hope you continue your training 💪🏻👍🏻
Try it with someone who's really trying to hurt him
That's a terrible block. You block to maintain your distance to your opponent. There's no point in blocking attacks you're moving away from especially if you're already out of range.
I wanna see this with someone who is actually trying to hit the other person
