Thanks man! Probably could've got a few more laps in on the wall this season 🤣 I think I hit around 20 hikes

This was more of a packed chalky snow. We typically don't get icy conditions on the wall until mid/late April since it's 13k

This was filmed on May 9th. We got around a foot of snow a couple of days prior. So it skiied super well! Unfortunately, the wall closed for the season on Monday

There is so much sick terrain out there! Snow was mostly good, but I definitely had some patches that caught me off guard 🤣

Yes, it was intentional. The apron runs out to flat, so picking up speed isn't an issue at the bottom. The wind lip is there every year. This day, I was the first to hit it, and the powder on the lip slowed me down too much, lol. But this is in the Land of the Giants zone on the east wall, where it runs to flat

This was a couple of years back. I'm not sure how this year stacked up in terms of Tahoes average snowfall. But conditions were pretty good for being near the base!

A Basin has some incredible steep skiing. Hopefully, you can make it up here soon! Try to come in March or April so you can ski the East Wall! Best terrain on the mountain

@@jacobovermyer I'll check it out eventually, today I hit 2nd gully (nothing at all sketchy about the line i took) at least I think I was in 2nd. Then 2nd Notch. The top turns were too tight for comfort, but i managed. Then the bootback all the way up to Snorkel Nose, but the top of the chute was fully tracked out while the powder field next to the bootback was still 90% untouched, so I chose to fly through the freshies

@proverbalizer, if you can ski 2nd Notch and Gully, you can hit this no problem. The entrance that I hit on this isn't the best. Further left, the entrance is much better. Just traverse left under Pali when you see the west Turbo sign. You'll traverse right over the chute.

@@jacobovermyer ok thanks, yeah I was looking down off the Pali lift yesterday and saw a sign by the edge of the trees saying turbo to the right and west turbo to the left

I'm not entirely sure, to be honest. I wouldn't be surprised if they are!

This would be a good one to try. Or if the entrance has filled in better, Narrow North Pole is very open as well. 1st was running horrible 2 weeks ago. I do not recommend it right now

@@jacobovermyer the guy I was with stopped at 1st notch and said "let's do it" so we did. Definitely got rocky before the narrow section, but we survived the shark attacks. Stopped for lunch then hit 4th gully, that was cool

Heck yea! That's awesome. This past storm must've helped fill it in. I hit a rock almost every turn a couple of weeks ago. I'm glad you had a good time 🤘

Yes. This was the only time I've seen it fill in all the way. I side stepped into it.

This run wasn't horrible. I skiied 1st Notch the following week, and that was bad. Thankfully maybe that'll change today!
