Mungu akulinde.

    Communication across Africa & Asia allow exchanges to occur. Bones from Excavations- specialist - Prof.Mbasa - Analysis of the Bones from KUUMBI , ; Buffalo, giraffe bones. The population growth after the Neolithic period in Zanzibar - Excavation in Kuumbi - bones & animals burnt for food after being hunted to about 10000Bc , 4 -5k BCE - The Egyptians are coming to AZANIA several times - the Land of Punt & they're buying animal products lk Horns , skins, of leopard and so on. After this early ppl - from Mainland to Zanzibar ; Environment. Heritage Management Studies - Kiswahili language. Antiquity Act - Heritage in Archaeology. Heritage; Proponent of heritage - Safeguarding our heritage. A certain kind of discrimination in terms of Archaeological funding our ppl culturally & economically - developing the culture of expansion - cultures revolving around mythology. Professor of mythology- knowledge. Science has very large areas - findings from Kilwa - the bridges how people travelled through the bridges. African culture & cosmopolitan Culture - Nationalistic. Responses. The people who crossed the bridge through Zanzibar - not really aware of any environment being changed because the time of their crossing around 20 to around 12,000 yrs ago - We can rarely know what kind of environment was there in Zanzibar before they crossed- What we know is that by the time of the Neolithic period, the animals which had crossed with those ppl had started to decrease ,it is the offspring of this ppl crossing the bridge; after growing in number, they must have started either using the animals or to trade with them - the only thing. The loss of heritage - Archaeology is a department covering Archaeology & Heritage with a no of colleagues specialised in Heritage. The Floods of Noah -:very Religious issue ; being very careful. Mixing Academic Research & academic thinking with issue of faith - people can continue reading bible, Kuran & continue believing in them - freedom of faith. Science & Academics - The Question of Cosmopolitan - whether it is true the people of the Swahili Coast are just African; Monsoon Wind Currents. Opinion that the people who were living along the Coast of East Africa - By doing some GENETIC makeup of them - some have affiliations with the Indian people , Arabia, Persia who the Romans reported 2000 yrs ago , there Arabs called Homirites in Raphta- AZANIA generally doing business & were even intermarrying with the local people - were people born out of that Relationship - Africanness with little genetics. It is true we have genetic link with other people -We are human specie but not just a race. People of the Coast of East Africa are #Cosmopolitan in the sense that they are having #some_genetic_affiliations. Professor Kusimba of Kenya has dug the burials - the genetics of the people of Swahili with 70 % Africanness & 30% with Relationship with Arabia , Persia & so on.

    Raphta on the Rufiji River - Rafiji ( black ppl). THE METROPOLIS of RAPHTA-Research on Raphta- finding out the Material remains - know where Raphta was located. Several features that were located under water _ - A wall under water. UNDER WATER structure - looks like a pipe - The Romans were very good with water system. A BROKEN BUILT structure - not sure whether it was a foundation. POTTERY belonging to the Azanian ppl - Early Iron Age pottery - Professor Chami's Excavation of a site in Kilwa of IRON WORKING/SMELTING people -revealed pottery ; ROMAN BEADS collected from Rufiji - trade btw Romans & Azanian people . ROMAN Pottery from the underwater structure of Raphta. We don't know where the Roman beads are. Pottery of the Azanian period from India - for trade. More pottery from Zanzibar , Machaga cave.

      LATER IRON WORKING PERIOD. Period after the Early Iron Age , when the Romans were doing business with the Coast of East Africa. Is beginning immediately AFTER the COLLAPSE of the Roman Empire in about 500 A .D. The SASANIAN power - Persian Gulf & the Indian Ocean is now being controlled by the Sassanids. The settlements found on the Coast of East African Coast at this time period -have many TRADE REMAINS of this empire . UNGUJA UKUU in Zanzibar - has UBIQUITOUS MATERIALS of this trade found on the Coast of East Africa. The ppl of the Azanian Coast are the Offsprings of the EARLY IRON AGE BANTU speakers - as one of the Key discoveries by Prof. Chami. The TRADITION dominating at this period , from 500 -300 AD is the TIW - KAOLE EXCAVATION in BAGAMOYO - came across pottery of / belonging to TIW - typical pottery of TIW pottery dating to about 500AD - 900 - with @beautiful_triangular_decorations * Changed the Traditional name of TIW pottery to TIW because the colonialists fought the Civilisations at the East African Coast - of the Kenyan Coast near Somalia - the so_called Cushites must have come over along the Coast controlling the Indian Ocean. Trade , just like their predecessors, the ppl of the East African Coast at that time period, seems to have been involved in much trade in the following activities: The Persian empire pottery ( Sassanids) - with a lot of glass representing bottles , glass beads. The local pottery; shell beads More glass beads including CARNELIAN from India of that time period. There was a LOCAL TECHNOLOGY at that time period -of metal including Lead, Iron & Copper - the ppl of East Africa were far behind in terms of technology too - arrows, knives & other types of metal tools. Glass materials - glass of different bottles bring perfumes , & coal. By 900 AD , people of this time period btw 500 -,900 AD are starting to use LIME -means that the houses that are going to be built after this time period are our own LIME & the CORAL STONES.

      THE BEGINNING OF THE SWAHILI CIVILISATION

    • @manyimedwin3589
      @manyimedwin3589 10 месяцев назад

      THE BEGINNING OF SWAHILI CIVILISATION -12000-15000 CE / near the modern times. Why the Swahili Civilisation we know today known to be African. Kilwa BUILDINGS are African , not Arab or Persian. BETWEEN the TIW & Swahili Civilisation, there is a DARK AGE - The PLAIN WARE Tradition - at this time , Islamic settlements now known in few places. Islam is being adopted in the particular Islands of Pemba & on the Northern Coast of Lamu. HISTORICAL REPORTS about these issues - #Al_Masud_on__Qunbalu island ; which we're told was settled by #Zanj_( Black ppl)- Muslim speaking. Showing the #African_foundation of the #Swahili_Civilisation - owing big cities of Kilwa & others which ppl think are foreigners. EVIDENCE BY SCHOLARS BEING PUT. MARK HORTON from Britain - Excavated the mosque in Lamu - Earliest mosque ever found on the Coast of East Africa ; was built by Wato & Mud - ppl who were using were simple, local Africans who didn't know to build houses using lime & Coral stones.750 - during the time of Islam Jihad- About 850 AD-;ppl are starting to use LIME - fencing their houses by lime. By 900 AD , are starting to use stones - holding stones with their lime - The SWAHILI mosque built where the earliest mosque was built - the type of mosque we see in Kilwa. According to Mark Horton, this Swahili mosque Coral stoned with lime is evolving from these earliest ( eliest )

      PETER CLARKE;on the Origin of Swahili Civilisation, as an architect ,went to Kilwa & other places to STUDY the ARCHITECTURE of those places, - He ARGUED that the BUILDINGS which seem Arabic are / Swahili ruins were African, following the resources within Africa.Never had a copy in Middle East. Prof.Felix Chami-in his PhD in Uppsala, started to excavate sites , lk KAOLE to find out what was the origin of the Swahili Civilisation - he established that there was CULTURE CONTINUITY of materials including CERAMICS , all the way from SWAHILI CIVILISATION down the EIA( Early Iron Age ). Few lk IBIN BATTUTA, when he came to Kilwa in 1330, he found where Kilwa were Africans , when he was leaving Mogadishu, he said , " I'm now leaving South Swahili Coast " , & this is the first INCONTROVERBLE mentioning of SWAHILI. LINGUISTS lk Spear , argued that the language of Swahili is not Arabic , not foreign - It is pure Bantu / African. PROF.KUSIMBA in his studying SWAHILI TOMBS in Kenya , excavating them , studying the genetics of the people buried -and he found the ppl in those Tombs are Africans - 70 % , completely African. AN EVIDENCE OF THE CERAMIC CONTINUITY during the Roman period are EVOLVING ATTRIBUTES to the time of the Swahili pottery . The Plain Ware & TIW Tradition. LAMU - site of the Swahili Tradition - ceramics & pottery of the Swahili Tradition - not from Arabia or Persia. KILWA SWAHILI Friday Mosque -dome shaped - African in terms of STRUCTURE as discussed by Clarke. Inside the mosque - PILLARS & BEAUTIFUL ARCHES - are supporting domes & barrels on the roof. RUINS at the HUSUNI KUBWA place in Kilwa - Clarke studied the site - he #reconstructed the ruins & he got that , there was no such beautiful architecture, even in Arabia, according to him, with beautiful barrels & pillars , swimming pools , the beach. The palace. KAOLE Site - PILLAR TOMBS very magnificent & interesting -;ppl coming from Arabia. We have GOLD dominating the trade aspect of that time period, & Kilwa is becoming very prominent because of that trade In Zimbabwe , coins of Kilwa in that area ; TRADE GOODS coming from China passing through Kilwa to Zimbabwe. Lots of Chinese & #Islamic_Ware imported from abroad showing that the SWAHILI were very rich at this time. #Trade_wind beads ; Ivory , metals , mangrove poles ; Cloth making ; Domestication & good amount of fishing.

      DESTRUCTION OF THE SWAHILI CIVILIZATION. In about 1500 A.D , the PORTUGUESE are coming , to DESTROY the SWAHILI towns , 🔥 fired 🔥🔥🔥Fired Kilwa on fire. They DIVERTED TRADE coming to Kilwa & North , diverted to the south towards the ATLANTIC OCEAN to take everything to PORTUGAL, leaving the Swahili civilization without any key aspects of their trade. ( THE PORTUGUESE PHENOMENON) THE OMANI PHENOMENON. Immediately coming after that - the Axum power ; DEPORTING some of our sultans - lk the KILWA Sultans deported to the Middle East - this was the beginning of the complete destruction of a section of the Swahili Civilization. Arrival of other powers lk the French , British who supported the Slave trade of the Omanis & so on , bringing an end to the Swahili Civilization.

    Ppl are starting to domesticate animals & plants & ppl starting to make beautiful domestic stone tools - Development in technology appearing. Sedentary lifes , settlements - becoming a KEY ASPECT of the Neolithic Culture. NEOLITHIC BONE TOOLS found in MACHAGA CAVE - Harpoons beginning from the time of AQUALITHIC . Beautifully decorated bone tools of the Neolithic bone tools. EVIDENCE FOR DOMESTICATION. Sheep , 🐑 goats , millet & donkeys being domesticated here. Egyptians trade in the LAND of PUNT is probably beginning at this time - evidence of the Egyptians who had come to the land of Punt for trade & business during the time of KING HATSHEPSUT dating 1400 onwards. KING PAREHU of the land of PUNT & his STEATEPYGIA who were going to receive visitors - from Egypt, They are Bantu speakers welcoming the Egyptians & telling them who showed them this country.The Bantu speakers referred ppl at this time as RUMUTU - the land they're arriving at is called PWANE( The land of PUNT)/ pwani suggesting the Swahili country. People of Punt reciprocating or going back to Egypt for trade. CERAMICS found in Madagascar - ceramics of EAn Coast - KUUMBI, Kilwa, Rufiji & other places. Common features of the East African rock painting - in Bukoba & Lake Victoria area. The Greeks also visited the East African Coast in about 3000 BC - recognised the E.An Coast as PA-NCH - reported the ppl as AGRICULTURALISTS- Bantu speakers. Moving down in History - EARLY IRON WORKING/ SMELTING COMMUNITIES - Early farming period. This CULTURAL PERIOD recognised on the EAn Coast from about 100 BCE -Its Heydays was in the first 5 centuries C.E. Early IRON WORKING period on the East African Coast is known as AZANIA. Kingdoms & towns flourished on the Coast of East Africa - most renowned towns lk RHAPTA & TONIKI. Romans - controlled trade on the Indian Ocean seems to have known AZANIA very well - their RECORDS provided the best information - lk the Periplus of the Erythrean sea & GEOGRAPHIA of Claudia Ptolemy ; Chinese also visited visited the EAn Coast at that time - identified the EAn Coast as ZEZAN. Austronesians also known to have visited the East African Coast for business, with SPICES. Trading & intermarrying with Azanians. Scholars & Archaeologists - Raphta- was in Fiji delta. The map of Claudia Ptolemy - that the people of Rafiji were known as Warafiji today. Island of Mafia -on the Southern Tanzanian Coast - Romans refereed to the island as MAFIAKO. AZANIANS were the AGRICULTURALISTS , hence they were BANTU speakers for sure 💯💯- the ppl we see settling at the Coast of East Africa probably at the time of AQUALITHIC or probably even before. Map of Africa , by Claudia Ptolemy the ROMAN.

    Cultural aspect appearing at this time scale - 40/50 k years , starting to BURY the dead people - believe in AFTER DEATH / life after death. Burials + presenting the ppl for a long time - burial sites discovered in an EXCAVATION - skeletons at KUUMBI cave , Zanzibar. Skeleton skull of the man ; When humanities were crossing the bridge to Zanzibar, there were big animals lk giraffes, elephants , were also crossing - The SKELETON OF BUFFALO EXCAVATED in the KUMBI CAVE as the part & parcel of the BONE 🦴🦴 ARTIFACTS. The Cave; - Moving from the upper Palaeolithic where the humanity has shown. In the BEGINNING OF HOLOCENE EPOCH, there was a WET CLIMATE Change - Some scholars have called this wet climate period as AQUALITHIC - with lots of AQUALITHIC food resources - human beings known to have settled here around these water resources & MADE CERAMICS & HARPOONS for fishing.

    THE UPPER PALAEOLITHIC/ LATE STONE AGE - Dated to btw 10k-15k BC - In about 50k/40k ago , or a bit earlier- the Humanity of today / Homo sapiens sapiens -POPULATED many areas around the globe , adopting Modern aspects of near modern times. Increased in ARTIFACT DIVERSITY - making many objects ( artifacts) , variety of them in the beginning of humanity. BONE 🦴 ARTIFACTS were well made 4 the first time - ART & EMBROIDERY/ ORNAMENTS & BURIALs appeared for the first time & the appearance of these burials , showed that humanity began to believe in AFTER _LIFE phenomena. The evidence of human beings in this type of culture -ppl who began behaving as human beings in the culture of ours in the East African Coast is ARCHAEOLOGICALLY found in KUMBI CAVE in ZANZIBAR dated to 30k/20k yrs ago - These ppl crossed the mainland through the bridge - Humanity still having artifacts emerging from pre-upper Palaeolithic SANGOAN Excavation - the first Homo sapiens & artifacts being carried forward/ copied by the Homo sapiens sapiens. Another aspect of CURRENTS of monsoon winds -individuals from Austronesia have been using this aspect to come to the EAn Coast for business. Geographical aspect - Dots to northern Madagascar dated to btw 1200 AD -15/1600AD - the ppl who were settling on the dots were the SWAHILI People - this Coast of EA from Southern Somalia - Comoros & Madagascar is known as the Swahili Coast. The issue of LATE GLACIAL MAXIMUM - means the time from 120k yrs ago. THE PERIOD BTW 60,000-12000 YRS AGO. Archaeologically - Upper Palaeolithic period . During the LGM , SEA LEVEL was at the level of 120 M lower than it is today - the reason was that - good amount of water was held on the Poles & Highlands due to GLACIATION , - the phenomenon exposed many areas of the COASTAL LANDSCAPE from the water ; the COASTAL LANDSCAPE which ppl & other animals used to walk over to the Highlands - to some continents , lk the ZANZIBAR HIGHLANDS which were settled at as ppl walked over those bridges& AUSTRALIA which were settled because ppl went through the bridges ; NORTH AMERICA - were settled as ppl went through the BERING STRAIT . Nakumbuka kwenye miaka ya 70 nikiwa hapo chuoni, kuna Mwalimu wa hapo UDSM kitivo cha uhandisi alitengenza (hakuvumbua wala hakugudua) gari la umeme wa sola. Mh. Kawawa alikaribishwa kuliona. Huyo Mwalimu alikuwa Mgerumani. Hivi lile gari lilienda wapi? UDSM ya sasa watusaidie kwa hilo. Kwa hili la sasa waandishi wa habari wanakosea sana wanaposema "wamevumbua". Gari la umeme lilivumbuliwa zamani sana. Hata Musk hawezi kusemwa ati kagundua gari la umeme. Yeye ametengeneza gari la umeme na kulipa jina la Tesla.
