I don t care who the algoorythm sends, I m not stopping Heartsteel rush first into tank items. Dorans Shield and Second Wind as core components with Grasp Runes and Haste Sorcery second. In an extended fight I procced Heartsteel three times against a warwick and eventually made him back off because Sunfire and Thornmail cooked him whilst my CC kept interrupting his abillities. Also good luck ganking a midgame 4000 Health, literally 4CC (of which 1 escape hook and a slow on E). There were instances where I simply walked under tower with the jungle and enemy top dishing out their whole keyboard and arsenal with me living on a good 1/4rth arriving under my turret. As long as CS goes mediocre (which is laughtably easy since youre NOT getting killed when building HP and Armor and have amazing waveclear as max E first), Tank Nautilus Top turns into the 7/0/0 Monster from the New Dawn cinematic. xD Only downsides are: - little influence early since little damage / presence early (LOTS of CC though!) - true damage goes through armor :( - boots got nerf (Plated steelcaps are rather neccessary) pro: - 8000HP 20 - 25 minutes with a 1.5K shield on W. - KLINNGGGGG Difficult with Jungle, due to the early reliance on 2vs2 but it s not like you can get a Tank Naut off the objective.. so just be good at outsmiting? xD Dying ofr objective should be fine as long as Heartsteel get s it s stacks. Source of all of this would be a french Streamer (High Master and Grandmaster Naut 1Trick) Nautpreacher, presence of which is completely dead atm? The movement problem is also because, due to repetitive clicks, you end up last clicking a minion triggering the attack action, and when the minion dies your character stops moving

Had your first video recommended the other day and at first glance I thought this was the most elaborate troll I’d ever seen. But I decided to play it on a whim and was pleasantly surprised how good this was. (Although I’m only silver EUW)

I do the same thing with Sejuani into Teemo! As soon as he uses his blind I all in and crush him. Their team usually has to help out or I shut the Teemo down every time
And boy does teemo deserve the beating
@@Wafflerush right! Easily one of the most broken champs in the game if left alone, thankfully they always underestimate damage and can be easily outplayed. No one expects the Sej damage
Sej top has a lot in common with Nautilus, and I've been successful with Sej.

@@brandonacosta5144 Right, because your team won't group and autowin team fights with sej's ult. I feel ya.
On your movement problem I have a likely cause. You are clicking multiple times at your destination. Then you switch camera location while still clicking, and your cursor is someplace different. And that last click is where you end up.
Interesting approach on Taric, however since Taric doesn't scale with ad or crit, think about going the volibear build adding a feeblewinter. You should have a ton of survivability and your stun should have 0cd
@aggelos9480 can't match that build for the primary reason Navori (at least a few weeks ago) nerfs Taric by not putting his Q on immediate cd reset but rather lowering it instead. Navori cdr takes priority over passive cdr which is disappointing.
@@WafflerushI’m pretty sure they patched that bug awhile ago no? They fixed it for Navoir’s quick blade which allows you to permanently cycle your abilities

@Ju1ianDavenp0rt thanks man! So far the build is still working for me in Silver, but I have had a bad string of teammates lately that's halted my climb a little bit. I will become the #1 Naut in NA just wait.
since i watched that one video ive had a lot of success with eclipse nautilus as opposed to my normal burn nautilus so thanks a bunch! ive already played so much of it so the video wasnt really applicable to me but ive been really enjoying your content!

Talk to me about jungle. Would you take this shield-bashy build there? Change runes?
@RobertBarnes66 If you are running Naut Jg, it's not a bad idea to have shield bash, but it may be better to use Demolish or font of life instead so you have more team assist utility. You can easily get ahead with Naut Jg with a couple good early tanks which could make shield bash extremely useful, but it may not be as feasible since you are farming jg camps outside of champion interaction.
@@Wafflerush I feel like Nautilus is jungle purely for the memes. If I can't gank due to lane state, I just lose because I can't keep up with farm vs any other junglers. And then if they won't group, I struggle to 1v1 because I'm under-leveled. But I do like memes!

You should buy some mana beside completing your first item, Crystal or Tear, especially when you build tank.

So i didn't have enough time to watch the entire video so i kinda just skimmed through it, so I wasn't able to hear the reasoning behind eclipse second, however watching the clips of u fighting liandrys riftmaker or abyssal mask all seem much better in every scenario, could you explain ur reasoning behind eclipse?
I get what you're saying. Primarily, if you do that, enemies will build MR against you every time. This build is a strong hybrid utilizing the sustain and damage of ROA and the extra AD, Haste, and Sustain/Durability of Eclipse and Sundered Sky. Eclipse, coupled with shield bash as a rune, gives you 2 Shield bash procs and the extra % health damage to stand out as a tank duelist. The shield bash procs deal approximately 100 extra damage on average together (around 20mins). Nautilus W is great for his durability, but Eclipse and Sundered Sky increase that durability while also increasing his AD so that you aren't countered by MR.
@@Wafflerush ok i get what you are saying but here is the thing, say you go roa first every game, if u are to compare eclipse + shield bash with liandrys as second core items you get health, ability haste, ap and ramping dmg over time compared to eclipse which gives u a really small shield that doesnt add much value other than proccing shield bash which in mid to late game is also not noticeable as its flat dmg and not maxhp or smth, ad which is useless bcs of no ad scalings ( the only way the ad scales is off sundered healing) and less ability haste.I suppose you think enemy buying mr for nautilus is a big deal however the amount of dmg nautlius can generate on side lane with roa liandrys riftmaker is an actual joke.I would guess that you have tried the normal build for nautlius a few times, if not please do and you will realise just how much better it really is, if u have give it another try and again i hope you realise how much better it really is. How about going Legend: Alacrity instead of haste if you aren't playing Jax match-up?
@jakubpruszczak9169 so the reason being is because this build is more ability based. Alacrity doesn't work as well because you're just increasing autos. Being able to cast more abilities with ROA means more healing and durability along with damage. Overall, Haste is better than Alacrity for Nautilus.

@jakubpruszczak9169 I'm working on a video to explain this build so you'll have a lot of answers to questions soon. But I go shield bash instead of demolish for the sole purpose of combat power. Demolish is great utility for splitting and lane shoving, but this build focuses on combat power and utilizing Nautilus' kit effectively. When you use your shield, you essentialy create a minor spellblade proc which deals additional damage on your first hit. Coupled with Eclipse, you get 2 shield bashes back to back usually, which results in about an extra 100 dmg on average.
I just played this build in ultimate spellbook a few times and it was actually so fun. I was doing unexpected dmg and i was still so tanky, this is prob gonna be my go to naut top build for the dueling power

Small tip I’d recommend increasing the mini map size to max or near max. It helps a lot with staying aware of things

I love how Nautilus always catches people off guard with his damage. Even if you build straight tank like Sunfire, unending and Heartsteel he just pumps out consistent damage
He always did, they mostly nerfed his mana and mana costs but he was very oppressive top back in the days
I was Fiora top the other day, and the Nautilus was building straight tank. Literally zero damage items and he was out trading me with fuckin hydra and hitting his vitals. Man is actually broken.

Love Nautilus top! Rod was so broken last patch first item on him. The nerfs arent too bad but you can definitely feel it
heck yeah man! it is SOOOO underrated. Just played a game with my build and got top damage (would have had 0 deaths but someone asked me to die and they subbed to me if i would so I walked into their fountain) went 13/1/11.
@@Wafflerush yo that's awesome! I never thought about eclipse on Nautilus. I used to just rush Rod into Abyssal or unending despair/Sunfire depending on matchup then spirit visage for better shields. Iceborn if I needed more damage but eclipse does make sense

@Larry-o3s4f still figuring it out... but I'm thinking Cosmic Drive, Sunfire, Spirit Visage, Riftmaker and Sundered Sky... we shall see how well it all works.
@@Wafflerush no no this is the tea: you run Glacial augment, footwear, triple tonic, approach velocity, celerity, waterwalking, blue pet, into trailblazer, locket and just run map like a ww ganking as fast as possible. or if you need more clear speed i actually run tiamat, spear of shojin into sundered sky. AP bruiser items like liandrys or even blackfire they are two slow to build and don't offer the utility you need in jungle like the ad bruiser items. i don't finish tiamat but if i did I'd opt for titanic because glacial augment already slows all the enemies you W Q or R. Glacial Augment is the hidden opness you need to make maokai work with the new map and new nerfed kit and items. as long as youre getting items with hp your saplings damage and duration go up. also been playing around with the sunfire items instead of tiamat and also been playing around with rushing bramble for the high ad comps.

While fun your build path doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. AD items are super inefficient on a champ like naut. You’d be much better off looking up some build guides to help you out there.
@@OostyMcBoost I see where you're coming from, but the build is great for giving you a strong initiation to the fight while offering you durability and sustain without just going full AP/Tank. The AD is great for his passive + sustained fighting. It's not a perfect build, of course, but so far it's been working very well!
Try out sunfire, winters, and visage first 3 items. You might be surprised by how much sustain the shields give you! The added resists help a lot with survivability.
ive also been obsessivly playing naut in all roles lately but i havent tried this hybrid build ill try it out! i normally got ROA into bamis item and liandrys

so i played HoB support naut one time and let me tell you...I went 15/1/23 that game because the w auto reset is such a game changer. I went tri force into stariks and sundered sky.

Tbh, for the longest time, I never really played much ranked until recently. Because of that, I am forced to climb out of bronze. Most times I am playing around Silver II - Gold III Elo.
