Horse with no rider/ Inside Outside- Paris the musical (Lyrics)
Просмотров 5002 месяца назад
Ulysses, with divine inspiration from Athene, designs a giant hollow wooden horse. The plan is to hide soldiers inside and leave it outside the Trojan walls and retreat. The Trojans will take it as a gift to the gods and take it inside the city. The hidden soldiers can then open the gates to let in the Greek armies. Agamemnon tweaks the plan, so they leave Sinon to tell the Trojans what to do w...

A drunk Sinon tells them that, if they bri...
Ulysses’ prayer- Paris the musical (lyrics)

Ulysses prays to the goddess Athene for a plan to end the war. He receives the plan for the Trojan horse. It seems that it is against Athene’s will, as he acknowledges that he will be punished. (Foreshadowing the Odyssey) This song fits into the theme of the balance between the head and heart. While Paris is a fool who follows only his heart, Ulysses blocks out his compassion to follow his head...

Ulysses, disguised as a beggar, breaks into Troy to speak to Helen and ask her advice. (This calls back to earlier in the musical where he complimented Paris for entering the Greek court in rags.) Both Helen and Ulysses are exhausted and want an end to the war. Helen is exasperated by his questions, but defends him from a Trojan guard who threatens him.

This is the only weak spot on Achilles’ invulnerable body. Achilles is elated to finally die. He laughs in triumph before collapsing. The Chorus sings of the eternal fame Hector and Achilles have earned thr...

He also criticises Agamemnon’s leadership, suggesting that he is more interested in plundering the Trojans than ending the war quickly. Menelaus tries to appeal to Achilles. Patroclus is torn, wanting to support Achilles, but also feeling duty-bound to help Menel...

what the fuck is achilles climaxing
WHOS SHOUTING????!!
just a WHAT
Why is Achilles saying yes before dying
@TerrorDeathsCircus In this version he seems to be immortal to some extent. The prospect of living forever after his closest friend has just died seemed horrific. He was excited to finally die because he wasn’t sure if he was able to.
ATTENTION VIEWERS! @soulthebard has just started to release lyrics videos that seem to be official or at least very accurate. You should absolutely go check them out because they are way more accurate than mine. Here’s the link: m.ruclips.net/p/PL0ddmWT3rUU7RPpxchOvQWsfUGSl4kKzf
I love what the chorus has to say to Ulysses, alluding to the fact that he has pissed off the gods and is about to get his punishment
Yea it’s really cool. I love Ulysses’ arc overall in the musical. The fact that he knows he will be punished but just needs the war to end. The Trojan horse was his last resort.
0:48 to 1:18 I think Odysseus/Ulysses here is referring to the plow incident, considering how disdainfully he speaks of agamemnon Since he didn’t want to go to the war he pretended to have gone mad,but then agamemnon put Odysseus's baby, telemachus in front of his plow to check if it was true or not, of course Odysseus stopped his plow in order to not crush his son but that proved he wasn't insane so he had to go to troy,"we are not here by choice" seems to confirm that, while most accounts claim it was palamedes who threatened telemachus it seems that they went with the version where agamemnon threatened telemachus, so when Ulysses says that he is a wordly man but he never forgets he is basically telling agamemnon that even though he is usually grounded and calm he won't forget nor forgive the fact agamemnon put telemachus in danger
@@nidhikhare2575 That actually makes so much sense! I had assumed that plow incident hadn’t happened in Paris since they are planning the war before Helen was kidnapped so the oath didn’t apply. However given Ulysses’ lines here I do now believe that something similar to the plow trick did happen. It definitely explains why Ulysses seems to pissed at Agamemnon and is trying to avoid a war at all costs.
I love how you seem to have made it your mission to make this musical more accessible and i am so greatful
Odysseus finally found the way to the video
Slightly more complete than the previous iteration lol. I’ve had this project on the back burner so my progress has been pretty slow.
Really thanks for sharing with us!! Those guys deserve to be heard! ;)
I would sing that for my wife but I should have known better! ;) Thanks for the goosebumps dear Horseguy!
Thank you Horseperson! :) I downloaded it faster than Paris could take down his pants. :)
Con canciones como estas, mi ingles fluye JAJAJAJAJA En fin, amo este musical ❤❤❤❤❤ Aquiles tiene un egocentrismo en sus lineas, muy digno de su personaje
2:42 You sure about that Odysseus?

Aeneas is like 85% of Paris’ impulse control
@@strych9ines he is not payed enough for this

Ulysses being the only one with actual braincells in this whole mess always gives me life

Honestly every time there was a random voice I just wanted to assume it was Ajax.

It couldn't have been Neoptolemus, he was only a baby, he was 12 when Achilles died
Until we know for sure I'm going to pretend it's Diomedes, he's my favourite character in the Iliad and it's a crime that he's not here
@ HE'S NOT?!?!
0:42 "he's just a man" this phrase hunts me everywhere

Aeneas was stressing tf out

YOU LITTERALLY PROVIDE 50 PERCENT OF ALL MATERIAL ON THIS MUSICAL THANK YOU
@@chopdebijdienietgehaktis8006 thanks! I was inspired by another niche fandom I’m part of (the mechanisms) where this one person called thevoidsings made lyrics videos for all the songs.
@thecavalry5764I love Ulysses dies at dawn
I love the foreshadowing in the paris in court song where odysseys says hell keep in mind dressing as a beggar to break in lol
@Callaben0 Odysseus was clearly a fan of the idea. Not only did he use the beggar disguise in Troy, but he also did it when he got home to Ithaca.
@thecavalry5764 Yea i really like how they portrayed him. He really is always listening and thinking and it shows jist like in the actual illiad💥💥
you single handly made 50 percent of everything you can find on this musical lol
🎉
Odysseus got lost or smth? Lore accurate lmao
@@Bo0_stauber that’s amazing lmao. I’ve been slightly procrastinating on coming up with a design for him
Ulysses is the Roman name of Odysseus! Idk why they used it, but he’s there guys
@@AugustAugusttttyea they meant that in the animatic wip I left a gap for Ulysses without an image
At 3.04 I think they're saying 'for this is the price of leadership' and then call them tyrants? I may be mistaken though.
