Adding Beams, Building A Bench, And Burning A Bridge At The Cabin
Hello everyone and welcome back to the channel! I took the past couple weeks to take care of some things that needed to get done out in the woods. Adding "beams", aka 2x4's and 2x6's was something that I have been planning on doing for a while now. The cabin is in need of solid weight-bearing structure, and these beams should help with that. The bench in this video was very fun to make. I plan to make another bench or two from this same tree in the near future on other trails of mine. Finally, the bridge that I have been planning on making is finally done as well. I want to be able to walk my trails in crocs or tennis shoes and have dry feet, even in the spring when there's lots of water ...

Hello everyone, and welcome back to the channel! This video is a little different than my other ones. My dad, brothers, and I recently took a trip into the BWCA to explore new territory that we had never been to. We started at Moose Lake, and finished at Snowbank Lake, covering 13 lakes and over 30 miles by canoe and foot. We battled through many different obstacles, including wind, rain, and m...
Spending My First Night In The Log Bunkhouse

After hundreds of hours of sawing, chiseling, and notching, I was finally able to spend the night in the bunkhouse. All of the hard work needed to get to this point has paid off, and I couldn't be happier. I also acquired my first drone; the DJI Mini 3, which is what the drone shots in this video were shot on. I plan on making an "epic drone video" as I continue to learn how to use the drone an...

In this episode, I finish the gabling and soffit in the bunkhouse, as well as add interio...

In this video, I start the task of completing the interior of the north gable end of the bunkhouse, as well as burn lumber for the east side soffit. Progress has been limited on the bunkhouse, as Wisconsin has been under its first cold snap of the season, with temperatures dropping to 30 below. However, warm weather is on the horizon, so progress should pick back up shortly. Thanks for watching...

Teenager Builds OFF GRID LOG BUNKHOUSE With Hand Tools

My name is Kole Paulsen, a 19 year old from northern Wisconsin. I began building the bunkhouse when I was 17, going into my senior year of high school. I plan to sleep in the loft area when I finish the interior, which should take me another month or so. The bunkhouse isn't built perfect; the gaps are large and the notching isn't perfect, but that isn't what matters. Building the bunkhouse gave...
