also what coping mechanisms does Joel use now to stay sober? How does he change his focus to have a more positive outcome?
can you discuss how trauma affects the brain physiologically and how addiction plays into that? I see many teenagers who are medicated by their parents for ADHD etc. I also see teens self medicating trying to balance themselves out chemically.
