I think every time BCSO went down south, they see it as doing a 'favor' to LSPD. Now that LSPD is taking initiative in the county, they see it as a slight against their 'generosity'. This is not a healthy way to interact, and I think some separation would do good for the BCSO. In the end, the legislation only affects BCSO command+, not regular deputies. I think their reaction to losing their authority in the south is really telling about where the actual issues are... The majority of issues with BCSO have come from their command overstepping, and getting toxic (Cassidy's 'subhuman' comments for example). Even in the meeting where they are supposed to 'resolve issues', Cassidy didn't apologize and only made fun of Peters for bringing up the comments. It's also really clear that BCSO were coming into the conversation disingenuously... They start out saying 'it affects the day to day officers'. However, later on, they admit that the legislation only affects their command, and that it doesn't affect regular officers/deputies. There was no self reflection on flipflopping on this, they just said contradictory things and didn't bat an eye. It's clear they want to move goal posts and come to the conversation without critically looking at their own actions/words. Moss even gave them the opportunity to ask questions about the legislation, to bring up concerns with the content itself, and even offered to change parts if they caused operational issues. She was far more open minded to criticism of the legislation, but nothing BCSO brought up had to do with the content itself.

So they're mad because they are now subject to jurisdiction laws? If you really that pressed switch to lspd. Theres 2 counties for a reason and theres 2 departments for a reason. If you cant handle the idea of working together while also staying true to jurisdiction boundaries then all i hear is "WAAAAAAH I CANT SEND CARMINE OFF DUTY FOR HAVING BANTER WITH A CRIMINAL WAAAAAAAAAH"

Koil needs to come in and wipe everyone from both LSPD & BCSO, and start from scratch. (Like Prodigy did) A huge part of what's missing from both sides is actual RP with crims. Stop treating every situation like it's irl, it's so cringe. We won't even get into the whole Max/Shibon debacle. smh
