Boc the Seamster
Добавлен 4 сен 2018
Not much here except a couple of playlists. I'm a fan of Souls-Borne games, Half-Life games, Undertale, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Lord of the rings. If you haven't already guessed my favorite VG character is Boc from Elden Ring. He is very likable and I can see a lot of myself in his character as we share similar insecurities. And also his quest is very wholesome if you go for the secret good ending where you help him realize that he is beautiful just the way he is, and that he should not worry about his looks.

Divine Beast Dancing Lion (Ancient Ruins of Rauh)

I've never felt so much hatred for a boss and Fromsoftware before in my life. My hatred for this catastrophe of a boss goes beyond hate, if there is such a thing as something stronger than hate. The person who made this deserves to be fired and blacklisted from all gaming and entertainment companies. They deserve to work in a below minimum wage fast food job for the rest of their lives. It may ...

This took everything I had, what a fight. Very far from perfect, but still an amazing boss.
Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame
Просмотров 90День назад
I love everything about Midra, another masterpiece from this DLC. My only two complaints with this boss is that sometimes his frenzy flames build up madness without even touching you, and I also don't like that after the giant AOE belly slam, he can immediately follow it up with an attack you definitely can't see. But other than that I think he's perfect.
Jori, Elder Inquisitor

I'm really tired of fighting bad bosses, this is four in a row now. While I do think Jori is a bad boss, I actually quite like how he utilizes summons as if they're attacks themselves. And the music is top notch here.
Rakshasa

This NPC boss especially was a pain in the rear. She quite literally had random hyper armor, making me have to spend most of the fight running away.
Metyr, Mother of Fingers
Просмотров 10114 дней назад
Much like the dancing lion, Metyr is completely ruined by the second phase. I'm not really a fan of this fight purely because of phase 2. It's an amazing spectacle, but gameplay wise it's garbage. I still like this boss a tad bit more than the dancing lion because I find her general move-set to be more fun.
Fallingstar Beast (Scaduview)

Fallingstar Beasts are always really fun fights.
Tree Sentinel (Scaduview) (Shield)

Tree Sentinels are a bit jankier than I remember.
Commander Gaius
Просмотров 4521 день назад
Talk about an overhated boss. I have like no issues with Commander Gaius. I think he's just a really fun and engaging boss. The charge move is very hard to dodge, but I don't think it's unreasonable. People should probably understand that attacks that require precise timing aren't inherently bad.

I can't deny, this boss is pretty janky, and a lot of the ways to dodge its attacks end up being inconsistent due to the thorn hitboxes. But despite all that, I really like this boss, and I think it's really fun. But the main thing I love about it is the soundtrack. I love how the song gets slower, more somber, and more tired with each phase. You really can feel how exhausted the boss gets duri...

Yeah I've got nothing but praise here. Not much to say that hasn't already been said. Flawless masterpiece of a boss. I really can't think of any flaws or criticisms I have with Messmer. He's just perfect, one of the best bosses in the entire series. Yes I know I'm riding his meat, but it's so good! 😍
Putrescent Knight

Absolutely adore this boss. I have literally zero complaints. I still think Rellana is maybe a little better, even though I do have one or two complaints with her. But yeah I think Putrescent Knight is my first flawless DLC main story boss.
I thought this was gonna be about Florissax. Great ambitions you have here!
Can't help myself lmao

@@Boc_theSeamster Yes!! Also aww, thank you!!

This Demi Human has needs too. I think you can understand why I wouldn't want to do another Demi Human. So I set my sights towards a more... scaly interest.
Saw your video on my feed, good job man
Hey thanks ❤️
probably top 10 FS bosses imo, would be even higher if he didn't have that terrible undodgeable aoe at phase transition
I don't think there's anything wrong with it. All you have to do is run away anyway, and it's not really hard either. And the arena is big enough to where I never found myself running into a wall when it happened.
@@Boc_theSeamster from personal experience, I dodged it around 1 in 5 times, always a wall behind me and annoying asf
@@WeirdTroll666 That's interesting then. I spent many hours practicing this boss as I do for most main bosses, and that didn't happen to me once.
best dragon fight
I'd say yeah it probably is, but there is still so much stuff to improve here. Camera is pretty bad in this fight and there are plenty of moments that are unfair damage that I've found.
@@Boc_theSeamster true, improvements can clearly be made, they should give us the DoH unzoom feature...
@@WeirdTroll666 I know, the camera just works so well with DoH. They do definitely zoom it out a little bit with this boss and many other big bosses in the DLC, but they should probably zoom it out even more.
''ah yes, and reuse the legendary boss, don't forget to add basilisks'' -Miyazaki probably
I thought this would be very doable because I was under the impression that it only spawned the basilisks once in the fight. My faith in Fromsoft dropped to zero when I found out it could spawn them pretty much anytime it wants.
@@Boc_theSeamster I think I never killed this one as well, just left it to rot in those ruins for all eternity, not worth my attention
@@WeirdTroll666anyone who cheeses this boss with arrows on the cliff gets no criticism from me. Cheese is all this pest deserves.
Had to change the swords to more powerful ones in phase 2 cuz I just couldn't take it anymore. I was a couple more attempts away from throwing the controller through the monitor. And mind you, out of the five years I've been with this series, I've not once actually had the urge to throw the controller or break the monitor until now. This boss is what broke me.
15:45 winning attempt
I just had to record multiple attempts for this boss to showcase the absolute bull crap that goes on in this fight. I do believe this is now the number 1 worst boss Fromsoft has ever made. It has topped the Valient Gargoyles, Afflicted Graverobber, Lud and Zallen, Count Ymir, Lamenter, and of course Bed of Chaos. This is worse than all of them. It's funny to me how there are people who actually consider the Dancing Lion to be a masterpiece and one of Fromsoft's best bosses. I think those people need to go to an asylum because something must have happened to their brains. There is absolutely nothing good about the Dancing Lion (both versions) except for a couple mildly fun moments in phase 1. Everything else about both versions of this boss is garbage and my least favorite main boss in all of Elden Ring by a very long shot. This boss (Rauh version) is so awful, it genuinely made me question if I wanted to keep playing Fromsoftware games anymore, (Yes it made me question my loyalty to this series). To think I was actually looking forward to fighting this abomination in the trailer.
Favorite boss of this game to me ❤ Gg for the run
Lmao 😅
Yeah this guy was definitely something else back in the days Awesome fight and agression of him (but I’m not a fan of the design look like the old creepy scp to me xD) Gg man you’re a beast .
Thank you! Love this boss
I don’t really like Clearic beasts in this game (since he is one basically ) but the fight is more memorable than others You pretty good to have beat him like this gg ! I have a run of him in my videos too 😅
I'll check that out 👌
Talk about horse power on this guy xD I love this boss when the rng of the first phase is not ass xD Superb run btw 👌
❤❤️❤️
At the beginning i was “hey she’s kind of cool “ Until phase 2 and the lock spam xD I was what the hell with the non stop clone jutsu . In the end i think this is a great boss with great ideas on it 👌 Gg on the run 🙏
She's better than some other clone bosses that I know lol
In some dungeons i was hating these guys on level 8 😅
Level 8?! I couldn't imagine doing this at that level. That's insane.
I should have posted my run of him too but I was to lazy X)
Sure it was a phenomenal run.

Gg nice run 👌 I have put one or two “runs” of him in my channel too but nothing really cool imo X)
I'll check it out
Gg man this is my 3rd favorite boss from the dlc for me 👌
Thanks man. Second favorite for me, but it may become my third after Radahn, we'll see.
Just gonna put this in here, but I find Igon incredibly annoying. Crucify me if you want, but I think his voice acting is way too over the top and I'm not a fan. Even when he isn't fighting Bayle he's way too extreme and loud, always screaming and yelling, like please shut up man. So that's my rant on Igon, this is one community meme that gets on my nerves every time someone repeats his lines.

I still can't quite put him above Messmer, but because of how unmatched he is with music and presentation, I have to put him in a spot above Rellana. Sorry Rellana, but music matters more to me than gameplay, and Midra's OST is the best.)
I like this boss, A tier for me, really tense and the summons that vanish is an excellent idea!
It definitely gets worse the lower damage you have. As you can make much fewer mistakes and this boss pretty much forces you to get hit many times. I have a like/dislike thing with this boss. I like how it works and what it's supposed to be, but it can just be very annoying at times. Would definitely not put it on A tier though personally.
@@Boc_theSeamster yeah these bosses are really different on low dmg, you can backstab him too but feels cheap. Also there is a remembrance for him left in the files haha
@@WeirdTroll666 Can see how he could be a remembrance with the unique soundtrack. Spruce up the gameplay a bit, maybe have a bit more spectacle, and he could definitely be a remembrance.
I'm torn between hating this boss, and actually somewhat liking him. It's meant to be really chaotic. And I sort of like how the chaotic-ness is handled. Still think he sucks though.
NPC fights in a nutshell (they almost always suck)
Very very glad this is the last one.
Rakshasa is everything people say Malenia is but actually true. Meaning that she really does have random hyper armor.
2:45 that was badass I'll admit
Fuck this boss. I'm saying it twice. New worst NPC boss in the game. And a contender for the worst boss in the game. Maybe Lamenter is a little worse due to being impossible with low damage, but I feel more hatred for this boss.
yeah Ymir's spells aren't even fun to dodge, and he summons? ew. he's not even that good as a lore device, actual bad boss in all the ways
@@WeirdTroll666Didn't think Fromsoft could pull off making me miss fighting Gideon. But somehow they did it.
@@Boc_theSeamster at least Gideon was one of the coolest guys in the lore
This fight is purely spectacle, but yeah it'sone of the worst in the series gameplay-wise
I wouldn't say in the series, the majority of her move-set especially in phase 1 is pretty good and fun. It's when phase 2 begins that the problems start.
DLC boss rankings so far: 7) Divine Beast Dancing Lion 6) Metyr, Mother of Fingers 5) Scadutree Avatar 4) Putrescent Knight 3) Commander Gaius 2) Rellana, Twin Moon Knight 1) Messmer the Impaler (Metyr joins Dancing Lion as another one of the bosses I don't like.)
My problems with phase 2 of this boss are all over the design of it. Metyr spawns finger creepers if you are too far away from her, encouraging you to stay in front of her and be aggressive. And yet simultaneously she punishes you for being too close to her because the black hole quasar attack has an AOE that you do not have time to run away from if you are too close to her. Her spawning finger creepers is just bad and doesn't add anything to the fight besides making it worse. The Quasar attack is undodgeable unless you base the entire fight around running away from her when you think the cool down for that attack has run out, and with low damage like me, that strategy is unviable. The spinning attack where she leaps into the air and crashes down forces you to be away from her for long enough for her to spawn finger creepers if she wants. Basically the game punishes you for being away from her even though dodging that move forces you to be away from her so it's not really your fault. It all adds up to a pretty garbage phase 2, and it ruins the fight for me. But still like her just a little bit more than the dancing lion.
I really don't care at all about the reused bosses. It's an open world game, they can't make everything completely new and it's unreasonable to expect that. Elden Ring already has the biggest amount of boss and enemy variety out of any open world game. It's all about mindset. Most people looking to trash on this game point at these bosses and say "Its reused! This horrible game reused a boss! How could you Fromsoft!" But whenever I see a Fallingstar Beast or Erdtree Avatar I go "oh cool another one of these, they're always a fun fight." I don't blame the devs for having to reuse things. It's the inevitable consequence of making an open world.
This one actually took more attempts than I'd like to admit. Got so pissed at being hit by a tree sentinel so much I decided I either beat him with that much health left, or die and start a new recording.
I like this one :)
Weird how this one was so easy but the shield one kicked my ass so much.
Playing like crap, but he was so easy I didn't care to remember the moveset.
My boss ranking of the DLC so far: 6) Dancing Lion 5) Scadutree Avatar 4) Putrescent Knight 3) Commander Gaius 2) Rellana 1) Messmer (I like Gaius more than Putrescent Knight because he's a little more complex and engaging for me. Only boss I don't like out of these is the dancing lion.)
really nice, i'd put Putrescent Boi at 2 tbh
@@WeirdTroll666Main reason he's low is because looking back, I think he was a bit too simple imo. Doesn't make him bad at all, but for a DLC I expect bosses to be harder than the main game, and most main game bosses are more complex than him I feel. If he had even a couple more moves, I'd probably put him above Gaius.
@@Boc_theSeamster ah true, I don't mind complexity though, his 6+2 attacks are enough for me, also a boss like this would be probably crazy complex if it was in DS3 for example, idk
@@WeirdTroll666Looking at bosses like champion Gundyr, Pontiff, Dancer, Friede, and soul of cinder, I think those are more complex than putrescent knight. It's just opinion though I don't know if any boss is objectively more complex than another. I just go off what feels more complex to me.
@@Boc_theSeamster dunno about the others but Pontiff has one more move than Putrescent Knight, they are similar complexity idk, I nejoy them regardless
this would be peak if he didn't have that one charge..
I honestly think it's perfectly fine. It's completely reasonable to dodge it, it's just very tight and difficult and requires very precise timing which isn't inherently bad. And if you don't want to dodge it there's still plenty of easier ways to go about dealing with it. Like Torrent dismount I-frames, double jumping with Torrent off the stairs that you enter the arena on, light roll makes it easier, and there's plenty of ashes of war that trivialize it. And when he charges up close it's far easier to dodge. I understand why it may be frustrating, but I don't think there's anything wrong with it.
@@Boc_theSeamster i was medium rolling and only managed to roll it once, but I wanna refight him and try out!
@@WeirdTroll666 I'm medium roll here as well. I don't have the skill to dodge it every time, but it's definitely doable
I am noticing that Fromsoft actually zooms out the camera for this boss like they do with Ludwig. Probably makes the camera much better than it would be. Thanks Miyazaki
Boss itself is okay I guess, aoe thorns sucked. Really good ost and themeing as you said
Still miles better than the Dancing Lion. I really don't get the praise for that fight. It's damn near F tier for me. Second phase ruins it completely.

I know lots of Elden Ring players say to never play this game like it's Ds3. But I'm literally playing this game exactly like I play Ds3 (minus the power stance) and I'm having no issues here. Maybe other people who play Elden Ring like Ds3 are scrubs idk 🤷
who said that lol, Elden Ring is DS3 combat with DS2 ideas lol
@@WeirdTroll666Lots of challenge runners and other people who are sick of "Elden ring is unfair" criticism. They say to always utilize ashes of war, and to always jump and strafe attacks instead of rolling, and that if you play this game like Ds3 (roll and R1 only), you're doing it wrong. For me, I think you definitely can play Elden Ring like Ds3, it just requires more patience.
How do you always get to first try them? save upload or are you just built different? anyways Messmer is perfect fr fr
My need to feel special tells me to lie and say I'm just that good, but no. I back up my save so I can get the first cutscene when I'm ready to record.
4:56 exquisite music sync
Messmer is him
This boss is overhated. The music and atmosphere is nice, it's combos are fun to dodge, it doesn't have a lot of health so it doesn't feel stretched out, the flame attacks are fun to jump over, but design is a little goofy and the lore is alright. I don't understand the hate for this boss, solid 8.5/10
I don't mind the goofy design. Bloodborne had the celestial emissary which was goofy as well but also fitting imo. But yeah I totally agree, I don't get the hate here, I don't think there is a single criticism I have for this boss. But if a boss isn't stretched out, imma find a way anyway lol.
19:31-19:42 Not to toot my own horn, but I love how this part sort of goes with the strings.
I love everything about this guy, nicely done
Did you just assume the Putrescent Knight's gender? I may have committed war crimes in this game, but that's where I draw the line.
