Nice, much prefer the sound of that whistle to it's usual high pitched one, reminds me of the sort you hear on American engines :)

I could've sworn I heard what sounded like an A4 whistle on the Strathspey Railway yesterday (09/09/12) - can anyone clarify what engine was running services then?

its a great north a scotland whistle off of and engine that used to run on the line so the whistle is at home here

Man it looks splendid :) The Caledonian Railway livery goes well with it too. Though I always thought the stripes would be Red for some reason but ah well :) Loved every second.
